Asked Mitch Johnson what he learned as a coach after winning their first playoff series "When you play a team every single day that you play a game it becomes a lot less of cute strategy. Think there's a lot of ways that I can continue to help these...

Tracy McGrady says NBA summer league is dying because top players don’t play as much: “I think they’re killing summer league. It’s slowly dying. It was a lot of excitement about watching these draftees. A lot of excitement behind them. You don’t even know when they’re going to play. You know they play the first game or two, but after that you don’t know if these guys are gonna play.” (Via Cousins with Vince Carter & Tracy McGrady)

"I think this team showed a lot of heart and a lot of fight … but I would say, to start, I show up. I show up when it matters, in these games. I think that would help us immediately." PCA reflects on the Cubs' Wild Card Round exit.

Arteta: “What a moment. A lot of emotions, a lot of joy, pride. I think the manner that was on it, I think represents what these guys are feeling and the reason why this magic happened.” Reporter: Does it feel like a weight has lifted? Are you a different person, a different coach? Arteta: “I'm the same one, but I'm happier and relieved, I would say.”

"We had chances. They didn't do a whole lot either. It was kind of a nothing game and then they got a few goals." "Really good team obviously, but I thought we did a lot of damage to ourself." - Nathan MacKinnon 🗣️

Plenty to be proud about 🤘 "We all hope and wish that the that the playoff thing would work...But if it doesn't, there's still a lot to be proud of and a lot of, a lot of great accomplishments, not only from a team perspective, but but some individuals on this team as well"

I asked Luke Kornet about his memories from stretches where he was a DNP for many games in a row, and what his message is to the young guys who find themselves in that position now: “It's just a lot of peace to come to life of accepting the position that you're in and then just doing the best with that, versus trying to fight it and want to be in a different one.” “You can spend a lot of time worrying about things that you can't really control. But when you just take the opportunity that you have and do the best with that, you can have days like today where a lot of guys came in and were able to contribute. You can have peace about knowing that you did your job well, just as you did the day before, the day after. It might just look a different way every time. I feel like that's what I've been taught through my life. That's the only thing attitude that you can have that you can actually do something with – versus trying to control things that are outside of what you can control.”

Mitch Johnson on if he considered closing with Dylan Harper in Game 1: “There was definitely consideration. Dylan had a heck of a game and was playing very well, and that comes with when you have a lot of good players, those decisions. And so Dylan did not finish the game by nothing that he did or did not do, and it was a decision I made. And I understand there would be logic in having Dylan in that group, but I thought that group that out was there did some things during the stretch, and that’s what I rolled with.” #GoSpursGo #PorVida

NRG keiko on what has changed from his Team Liquid days to NRG: "I think on NRG I'm a lot more passionate. I'm screaming a lot more. I'm a lot more hyped than I was on Liquid. We had a sort of rule to not get too emotional on Liquid. But when playing with these guys, I'm getting super hyped and super happy just to play, and it's exciting."

Full Drew cam talk: "Oh man, it's you guys...Hey. I'm in a weird spot right now. I've always wanted to play this game. I made it to the Top 3. There's a decent chance I'll make a Final 2 speech, but I still don't want this summer to end. I could go again, a whole 'nother 87 days, and I wouldn't get bored of it..." "...I really wanna win this, just to say I did. There's not a lot of people in this world who say they did their dream, and I already did mine at the age of 22. I've wanted to play this game since I was 8 years old, and I'm playing it. Not only am I playing it, I'm in the Top 3. So, I don't want this fever dream to end, at all. And I'm kinda sad it's coming to the end, but if I end up winning the whole thing, I guess I'll always be the winner. It'll always be part of me, but that also goes for if I don't win..." "...But I don't know, I'm just happy to be here. It's insane how everything has turned out. It's nothing but fun. Despite the tears and the arguments, there's been a lot of laughs, and a lot of fun, and a lot of memories that I will never forget...And I can't because I can just rewatch this on Paramount+!..." "...But to those that are rooting for me, to those that are rooting against me—I'm sure there's a lot of you—thank you for watching and thank you for being a part of my dream." #BB28 #BBBitez

I've never heard of a head coach seeking out an MMA coach to learn about their communication strategy between rounds and during a fight. Really insightful. "I think communication can be distracting. I ask Eric Nicksick a lot about what his communication is during the round. There's a timeout component in communication, but also in-game communication... I think one of the hardest things in coaching is to relay, in a simple way, what you see to the players so that they could see it simply and execute. I think Eric does a great job of that." - Joe Mazzulla

🧸 you’re asking if it was hard when i worked part-time at the kids cafe? of course 🙂‍↕️ the thing that really shocked me back then was…even when we play simple games we play a lot of tricks and joke around a lot but these innocent babies can’t tolerate that 🧸 you can’t play tricks and if we have rules set from 1 to 10, these babies can only enjoy if you play within those rules but if i make my own rule #11 outside these rules and do that, they’ll be like “hyung, that doesn’t exist…why are you doing that?” “why are you playing foul?” so if i want to play with them, i need to think like a child and play & enjoy within their set rules 🧸 it was really fascinating to me…it made me think “these babies are really that innocent, huh?”

Chris Haynes addresses him saying the Celtics were the front runners for Giannis just two hours before Giannis was traded to the Miami Heat after a caller questioned him: “I can’t read the future. All I can do is tell you what’s being told, what’s being heard, that’s all I can do. I do TV, I do radio 4/5 times a day. I get asked the same damn questions every single time and I have to relay what I’m hearing at that moment. Never did I say he was Boston bound. Never did I say Miami was not in consideration. Miami was always in play. You know what I think it is? A lot of people felt a certain way when he eventually went to Miami and I said it appears Boston is the front runners, I think a lot of people went and started betting. I think lot of people lost some money. I think that’s what it is.”

Dylan Harper reflects on his recent playoff experience and how much it meant to him: “It meant a lot. I think a whole lot to grow on, whole lot to learn on.. It’s my first year, and you know can’t keep moving forward if you don’t have a positive attitude. Obviously we lost and I want to win that, but at the end of the day I gotta regroup, bounce back, get ready for next year.” #GoSpursGo #PorVida
