Two U.S. Air Force C-130Js landed in Nuuk, Greenland today, and disembarked vehicles and personnel in preparation for U.S. Second Lady of the United States Aisha Vance’s visit to Greenland this week. Additional police officers also arrived earlier from the Netherlands. More notably, White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright are set to visit a U.S. base on the island as well. However Greenland’s decision-makers, specifically Prime Minister Mute B. Egede, have characterized the visit as “highly aggressive.”
