Was discussing this with the wife yesterday. They could absolutely flood the whole news hour everyday with missing children and never repeat themselves, but they don’t. But let one old semi famous broad come up missing …..it’s suddenly the modern Lindbergh saga 24/7.

You are not wrong! I had enough of it I hope she’s found, but there are people who family members have been missing for weeks/months/years and they get no publicity,

100% all missing children should have the same amount of resources and media coverage allocated in the search for them as this one family has received. I want all missing children and people to be found quickly and alive but just because a family has lots of money should not mean they should receive constant media attention and all the federal/state resources this year be case has received.

Right, I am so completely over this whole Nancy Gunthrie stuff. I’m sorry she’s missing, I hope she is found but omg what about the thousands of children who come up missing every day . Where is their 17 days of nonstop press briefings and search parties and nonstop coverage on every single channel. Enough is enough already. Nobody ever gets this kind of nonstop coverage. Everyone i talk to or see online are starting to say it’s just a huge distraction to keep everyone from reporting on all the rich elites and politicians, etc who are on the Epstein lists. it’s time to end this ridiculous nonsense and start reporting on other important issues across the nation.

@severo_michele There is another problem, Scott. Most cases of runaways or teenagers that are missing (for whatever reason) do not get the media’s attention except on local news channels. I think that should change.

This is so broken that the children aren’t more important than an 84yr old woman whose daughter is on a news channel. Is it because they’re being abused, trafficked, sold for organs or to be experimented on, that pedo’s and people with money needs are more important than a missing children being rescued

Right on. The Guthrie story is sad and mysterious, yet way over the top "news" saturation. 24/7 coverage, super out of balance. What about the same help for all missing children, or anyone else gone missing? Something isn't adding up here.
