He’s right. A lot of people I talk to are genuinely afraid of going against the majority. They always try to get a pulse on what the majority thinks so they can tag along. It happened with Trump then he won leaving everyone baffled, because “everyone” hated him right? The problem in general is that people don't think at all, they only think when they absolutely are forced by life. And it's not necessarily always the case that they're scared to think independently, they often just hope others do the thinking, because they're lazy themselves.
