At seven weeks pregnant, I was told I was having twins. At 12 weeks, I started to feel there was only one. Insurance wouldn’t cover an additional ultrasound, so I paid cash at an ultrasound boutique to find out. As soon as the probe was put on me, I knew it was one baby. This led me to a dark place.
