Astra built me an entire stage simulation and control system in Sentinel. I paid nearly $10k last year for software (Depence2) that could barely achieve stage simulation of this quality in real-time. Can't wait to bring this into reality.

System identification (sysid) is the process of finding the physical parameters that make a simulation match reality. If you're training an RL locomotion policy in simulation, the accuracy of your motor model directly affects how well the policy transfers to the real robot. A recent git commit by Kevin Zakka added a sysid toolbox to MuJoCo which automates this process: you provide recorded motor data and a MuJoCo model, and it optimizes the model parameters to minimize the difference between simulated and real trajectories. For my RobStride Dynamics RS02 QDD motors (17 Nm peak, 7.75:1 gear), I built a Rust tool that sends multi-sine torque excitation at 1 kHz and records position/velocity feedback. I then feed this data into MuJoCo's sysid optimizer.

We’re approaching October 7th soon. Last year in London we commemorated the tragic loss of our angels who were murdered that day. I always bring both the Iranian and Israeli flags to these types of gatherings, rallies and protests. Barely 3 months after that, the January Genocide began in Iran. I honestly didn’t expect this part of the AI design workflow to work this smoothly. Turns out GPT-6 Astra + Dreamina Seedance 2.5 is an actual pipeline. I started by creating a poster concept in Dreamina. The image looked finished, but I wanted to edit the individual elements instead of recreating everything. So I gave the poster to GPT-6 Astra and had it call Photoshop to separate the design into editable layers — background, text, objects, and visual elements all became independent pieces.
