At Common Knowledge, we’ve been building a new stylus-first tool for doing work on your iPad. We’re looking for beta testers who’d like to try this out and shape this experience with us. Comment below to get in touch!

Under the hood, each canvas is just a visual representation of a folder of files that agents can read and modify. We’re feeding the blue “magic” ink as the prompt for a terminal agent.

@cmmnknwledge id love to try this!

@cmmnknwledge literally have been searching for a stylus first tool for weeks bc every canvas software lets me down bc my adhd needs the physical and digital to merge, would love to try!!

@cmmnknwledge yes same! what lets you down about the tools you currently use?

@cmmnknwledge currently there seems to be a deep separation between how digitally made components (eg. saved links, pdfs, notes) can be connected and tagged compared to how handwritten components can barely bc categorized as nodes, for example, id say goodnotes has the best apple pen support

@cmmnknwledge for improving written/okr identification for spelling etc but it’s only useful for notebooks and you can barely expand pdfs, while obsidian has a great pkm system but excelidraw still has poor ipad functionality and that’s if you get the sync feature, muse is okay but you can’t

@cmmnknwledge really zoom in so it makes writing fast notes above a thinking space difficult unless you want your work to look janky, kinopio is great but not a lot of ipad support, honestly i can go on and on about every canvas tool you can think of bc truly my adhd + design brain makes it

@cmmnknwledge very easy for me to down research rabbitholes but i’ll chill for the timeline bc there’s many other tools i could talk about 😭😭

@cmmnknwledge also has a canvas tool in beta but it’s mainly focused on your blocks (which makes sense i get it) so it’s difficult to expand on current curation/research/moodboarding with spontaneous writing

@cmmnknwledge i yearn for the day i can optimize my ipad to merge the 2 planes of existing and my mind, if you’re making this platform i feel like you get what that struggle is like esp if you’re really into interfaces and stuff, hopefully that was useful:))

@cmmnknwledge yes will try this out
