At exactly this time yesterday, Emilio Gay received his first-ever cap from England legend Sir Alastair Cook. Emilio's family joined our huddle for a special moment at Lord's ❤️

Beautiful words from classy Sir Alastair Cook

What a beautiful moment. Receiving your first cap at Lord’s, from a legend like Sir Alastair Cook, with your family right there — it doesn’t get more special than that. That’s the kind of memory that stays with a cricketer for life. Wishing Emilio a long and successful England career! ❤️

Big acknowledgment to Emilios dad , Always at the nets giving him throwdowns whenever the weather. Amazing to see Emilio opening for England and i hope he has a long career doing so.

@cricket_broken What the cap symbolises- so beautifully summed by Alastair

Surprised Emilio didn’t fall asleep before he handed it to him 🥱😴

So 16 wickets on day 1; Gripping Game, testing the character, absorbing - definitely not a bad track. It's not happening in India, so the visiting captain need not call upon the home captain to join him & condemn the pitch...eh! 😆😆😆

Best of luck for future

well said chef
