Woah! I did not expect this amount of swearing from teej, please bleep the v-word next time

I switched to zed, I hate the diff view, the confusing shortcuts(cmd+w closed the terminal window, or the side panel, wtf), and how everythings so big like it’s meant for a touch screen. Also the scroll lag when in power save mode is annoying. 2 months in still using it though, it’s pretty great.

Every time they build zed from source, a new Datacenter is built

That's not true at all. I can use vscode just find in my Thinkpad t490s(2019) under 6-8w. Whereas zed often went as high as 10-12w. Not to mention it somehow uses more memory. I think the issue is you guys install a bunch of extensions and then forget about it. Resulting high power and memory usage 🙃

use notepad++ on Windows for embedded systems and turn off AC and use this for cooking your lunch

I appreciate the innovative format of this content. please jack it into my dreams. thank you.

I dislike zed. I don't have type auto deduction when using auto in C++, im used to vscode windows keymap which is not avaiable on zed (only linux/macos version) - its just not the same

I would love to make zed my daily driver, but it can't render Arabic text at all, so if I had one Arabic word, the whole line get missed up.

thought this was family friendly, vs%$@! mentions are awful.

what the hell is that ? how does vscode make the env bad ?

Zed is for guys who can’t get a girlfriend but think they can.

zed unironically goated

Zed is good

"....if you cared about the environment..." Here's every MFer who ever said that,
