I just showed this to my daughter (yr10) and her friend. They were like - How come no one's talking? Is it a private school? They couldn't believe the level of participation. Amazing stuff, Pritesh. This clip says a lot about the culture of school.

I’m very lucky to work at a school like @ArkSoaneAcademy - takes everyone rowing together to achieve a culture like this!

Must be missing something... how does controlling students' movement (heads down hands open) help their learning and understanding?? 🤷🏻♀️

Grand. When are they introducing an A level in obedience and conformity? Where do we put the ones with a smidgeon of critical thought or a desire for some automity? Is there a dungeon?

I’ve thought about this clip a LOT, and have come to the conclusion it shows genuine learning equity.

Wouldn't have been able to cope with this at school. Could never think to order. Would have just opted out. And I went to a 'strict' girls grammar.

Genuinely curious… how does having your head down actually support them when they leave school? Surely this is limited to KS4…? I can’t imagine any 16-18yo being ok with this?
