PASSAN SHUTSDOWN NASS Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASSAN) has shut down the National Assembly in compliance with the directives of the Nigeria Labour Congress of a Nationwide strike action. All entries to the National Assembly were shut on Tuesday causing long traffic gridlock, while NASS staff and other commuters had to trek long distances to get to their destination. Initially, access was granted, but by noon there was a total shutdown, no one could come in and no one could go out including lawmakers. Cars were reportedly turned back from accessing the complex. The exercise was said to have been carried out by the National body of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria.

What I see this government starting to do is generate revenue and promote capital formation. #Somalia has made significant progress in the fight against Al-Shabaab and security sector reforms, as evidenced by the progress in the timely ATMIS drawdown. Today, at the 37th Ordinary Session of the AU Assembly of Heads of State and Government, I highlighted these gains. Also, I urged the Assembly to join us in condemning Ethiopia’s expansionism, which doesn’t only breach our sovereignty but also the laws of the AU.
