BANNON: This is the thing with Musk and autonomous trucks. Truck drivers are a problem? Who demanded autonomous? Is it bc we got too many ppl earning a living being Uber and taxi drivers? This is where they force things into the system and all of a sudden they want you to go, oh, I gotta have a robotic taxi. Why the hell you need a robotic taxi? Your Uber or taxi driver’s not good enough? Your truck driver’s not good enough? One of the reasons they want to gut it is bc truck drivers are one of the backbones of the country and have been a backbone of the country. They want to make sure they ain’t gotta put up with truck drivers, just like they didn’t want to put up with coal miners.
