ATF Director Dettelbach didn't have a solid answer when Thomas Massie directly asked if Congress passed a law that would allow ATF HQ to make up to 40 million Americans felons by the end of next month.

Dettelbach doubled down & claimed the pistol braces on the market now are NOT the same braces the ATF originally approved. However, during questioning Dettelbach confirmed the "original" pistol braces are NOT exempt.     So what is it? What changed? Maybe the executive branch? 👀

So easy in fact, that if they mess up it's only UP TO 10 years in prison. For a legally-obtained piece of plastic. 🤯

Watching the @ATFHQ director trying to discuss firearms with @RepThomasMassie is PAINFUL. He is not qualified to be in this position, the ATF does not have the authority to implement this rule, and this is a severe infringement on the rights of law-abiding Americans. 👏

@RepThomasMassie @ATFHQ Of course he doesn't. The ATF is an unconstitutional organization that imposes immoral decrees on the citizenry. They should be abolished.

@RepThomasMassie @ATFHQ He should have had on hand several other commercially available and used braces to compare with the one in the letter and asked what is the difference and why is one a felony and one is not.
