Four years ago, a high level meeting comprising of Yoruba Progressives was hosted by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The meeting ended with all the leaders endorsing Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole Candidate. Only two among these guys rejected vehemently. One was Osinbajo, a former Commissioner of Justice under Tinubu’s Administration in Lagos who Tinubu eventually nominated as running mate to Muhammadu Buhari....and the second one was a well known Tinubu’s boy and mentee who was also a commissioner for works under Tinubu’s administration in Lagos. The two, at that time, had become Abuja senior boys with power and deep pockets strong enough to challenge not just Tinubu but also the entire leaders and associates in the SW. The result was a bloody nose given to them by their Master, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, publicly at Eagle Square where he defeated them abysmally as if he wasn't the one who birthed them politically. It was a ugly defeat and up till now, Aregbesola hasn't recovered, but Osinbajo seems to have accepted the judgment of God. Good morning to all Progressives only ❤️

In the UK, a major scandal has erupted over the killing of a young Polish man. Police believed the killer and arrested the victim Footage from police bodycams shows a severely injured Henry Nowak, who repeatedly says “I’ve been stabbed” and “I can’t breathe,” being handcuffed and detained. Even the ‘limited escalation’ was enough to destroy the lives of those living along and across the LOC in J&K. Dozens of precious lives lost, homes and livelihood destroyed. The image of the smiling twins, the 12-year-old Zain and Urwa, will continue to haunt us. How their mother is coping with it while their father is battling for life in the hospital, tears the heart. The pain runs deep. From afar for the world, Kashmir is a nuclear flashpoint which can explode anytime. For India and Pakistan it is a territorial issue, but for the people of J&K living the reality of this conflict daily, it is a bleeding wound that refuses to heal. How long are we going to suffer and live in fear and uncertainty? While everyone is talking ABOUT Kashmir, no one is talking TO Kashmir—to its people, those who live here. Kamala Harris had a quintessential "man problem," and they thought Tim Walz could shore up her failing male support in the polls. MSNBC fawned over him, portraying him as a sort of modern or new-age man who is highly emotional yet somehow internally macho. Through the lens of there being only two types of men—toxic and non-toxic—they spent so much time painting Trump as the toxic man that they were left with a try-hard, insecure figure like Tim Walz. There are many ways to tell if someone is insecure about who they are, but a clear sign is that they spend far too much time trying to prove what they are instead of simply being it. Trump doesn’t incessantly talk about how he’s a "real man" or use every media appearance to convince you he’s relatable to men through some stereotypically male activity. Whether you love or hate Trump, he just is himself. He’s confident—not because he says he’s confident, but because he simply is. He’s a guy who is always trying to prove himself to the world, which is why he’s constantly talking about the supposedly manly things he does.
