U.S. could use Iranian oil against Iran — U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that in the coming days, the U.S. could lift sanctions on Iranian oil in the sea to release it onto the global market and curb rising prices. According to him, around 140 million barrels of oil, previously intended for China, will be used to maintain low prices for 10-14 days. This statement comes amid the rise in Brent crude prices, which occurred after Iran’s attacks on energy facilities in response to Israeli strikes on its South Pars gas field. According to the WSJ, Arab countries have expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of the U.S. and Israel, believing that they have become targets.
