It's happened again in SKEGNESS and the POLICE have tried to COVER it UP An illegal migrant from SUDAN has been arrested after a WOMAN was ATTACKED behind the COUNTY HOTEL in Skegness that houses IMMIGRANTS Police have only released a report last night because a flash protest has been organized for today to demand answers Police report 👇🏻 We have become aware of information circulating online about a recent incident in Skegness, some of which is incorrect. We can confirm that an investigation is active and still ongoing into the assault of a woman aged in her 40s, which is believed to have taken place in the area of North Parade in Skegness on April 26. We are investigating whether this incident was sexually motivated in nature and officers are working hard to establish the exact circumstances involved. A man, aged 25 from Sudan, has been arrested in connection with this incident and remains on police bail at this time. Investigating officers have been carrying out numerous lines of inquiry since this incident was reported to us and continue to do so. Media appeals for information are initiated when inquiry teams may have a gap in information or intelligence and need assistance from the public, but this was not necessary when this investigation was launched as officers responded swiftly and were effective in gathering relevant details. We understand that rumours about this incident may have caused concern, and that people want answers, but we would remind the public that a suspect has been arrested and our investigation is ongoing. It is important to avoid speculation online, especially that which is rooted in incorrect information, as this can impact the integrity of an investigation and any future court proceedings. What’s shared online can unintentionally affect witnesses, victims, and the legal process. Our focus is to carry out a fair and thorough investigation and officers are working diligently to establish the full facts. We will provide updates when it is appropriate to do so, and would reassure the public that all details which can be shared at this stage have been.

The Toronto police corruption scandal just keeps getting worse They must be joking! The Project South police corruption scandal investigation is being headed up by a cop immersed in scandal! You are NOT going to believe who is heading up the Project South police corruption investigation. Namely, a corrupt cop! By way of background, Project South was jointly announced in February by the Toronto Police Service and York Regional Police. The word “shocking” doesn’t even begin to convey the significance of the scandal. As we reported back in the wintertime, several police officers and civilian staffers, mostly employed by the Toronto Police Service but also with Peel Regional Police, were put under investigation for guns and drug trafficking, bribery, breach of trust, and even conspiracy to commit murder! Let us reiterate: these are police officers and civilian staffers of police forces facing numerous criminal charges. In other words, the “good guys”. Allegedly. Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw said at the time that corruption has no place in policing and that the force is committed to leaving no stone unturned and assorted other pronouncements of Grade-A bull-shite. But in the aftermath of all the hot air, how exactly is this initiative playing out? Especially given that Chief Demkiw promised the public a two-year anti-corruption initiative. Project South would get to the bottom of this scandal. It would re-establish trust in policing. Moving forward, the Toronto Police Service would be all about restoring accountability and transparency. And if you believe those whoppers, we have some oceanfront property for sale in Saskatoon… That’s because our ex-cop friend Jay Bannister, who now runs the superb MadLab Press website, found out who Chief Demkiw has appointed to run this anti-corruption unit. Namely, Superintendent Riyaz Hussein. Who’s that, you ask? Well for starters, Hussein is a police officer who is no stranger himself when it comes to being arrested and convicted of a crime! Here’s the skinny: Hussein used to serve as a quasi-judge at the Toronto Police Tribunal where he was in charge of judging bad cops and even handing down sentences to those cops found guilty. All of which is quite rich because Hussein is far from squeaky clean himself. Back in 2022, according to Oshawa court staff, Hussein pleaded guilty to driving with a blood alcohol level over .80 in connection with a crash that occurred in Pickering, Ont. Hussein, who was apparently as drunk as a skunk at the time of the accident, slammed his unmarked police cruiser into the back of a delivery truck on Highway 401. There was even an open bottle of liquor in his car – Appleton’s Rum to be precise. When Hussein was arrested by police at the scene of the accident, one officer noted that this reprobate was so inebriated that he could barely stand up. Hussien was later suspended with pay and, if you can believe it, was back on the job just a month later! He was also found guilty and sentenced to a one-year driving prohibition and fined $1,560. He was also demoted to inspector for a year. But get this: he would later be cranked up to superintendent again. Why? Nobody knows. And the irony could not be more perverse nor profound: the police officer in charge of Project South – the investigation into police corruption – is corrupt himself! The question arises: what the hell is Chief Demkiw thinking? Why is a convicted drunk driver investigating corrupt cops? Hussein shouldn’t even be employed as a meter maid. And so much for accountability and disclosure! It’s a joke, albeit one without a punchline. And this latest sordid chapter in Toronto Police history reminds us of one of our favourite Latin quotes: “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes.” Translation: “Who guards the guardians?”

Can the police harass a citizen even after a court stay order based on mere allegations? Or is his only “fault” that he is Muslim, and therefore treated as an accused by default? The victim’s family has shared copies of the High Court stay order along with videos of the alleged police actions. According to them: Haji Firoz Khan (Jhijhana and nearby areas, Shamli district) was slapped with false rape and murder allegations and has been jailed twice Once, he was allegedly picked up from his home without an arrest warrant and jailed for 2 months. The second time, he spent 4 months and 10 days in jail. After securing a home stay from the Allahabad High Court, the order was reportedly shown to Jhijhana police, who allegedly said they “do not accept Allahabad High Court orders.” Despite this, the family claims their property was seized, and police repeatedly entered their home. The family further alleges that when the victim’s son posted a video on Instagram and it went viral, police came to detain him and falsely accused him of causing an accident involving five people. At the police station, they allege threats to beat women, verbal abuse, pressure to delete videos, and intimidation for recording inside the station. This case raises serious concerns about the rule of law, contempt of judicial orders, and targeted harassment of a minority family. We urge DGP UP to order an impartial, high-level inquiry and ensure justice. Shamli Police why were court orders allegedly ignored? Such actions are shameful and undermine public trust in law enforcement. Justice must prevail. The law must be equal for all.

#WATCH | Delhi: On social media and child pornography issue, Advocate HS Phoolka says, "... The issue which is going on very prominently these days is that Instagram is promoting the videos of child sexual abuse. On 23rd September 2024, the Supreme Court gave a landmark judgment, Just Rights for Children Alliance versus State of Tamil Nadu. In the judgment, the Supreme Court has clearly said that the social media platforms which are allowing these videos to run should immediately stop them; not only stop the video, but they should also give the information to the police so that action can be taken under the POCSO Act against the person who has downloaded these videos and who has uploaded these videos also. And let me tell you, under this judgment, not only uploading the video is an offence, but downloading and seeing this video is also an offence. This was a case in Tamil Nadu. There is a young boy who had downloaded the child sexual abuse videos and was watching them, and now this is being posted. All the people who are using social media should know that it is being posted by many organisations. One of them is NCMEC in America. All those people who are downloading and watching child sexual abuse photos, they are immediately—the NCMEC learn about it, comes to know about it, and passes on the information to the Government of India, and criminal cases are started against the person who is downloading and watching such cases. The Supreme Court has passed a judgment, and the Supreme Court has said that anybody downloading or watching the child sexual abuse video, he is also liable for imprisonment under the POCSO Act. And the Supreme Court also, in the judgment, has said the intermediary is responsible not only to stop this video but also to inform the police. And if the intermediary does not inform the police, that is, a social media platform does not inform the police, then the social media platform is liable to be prosecuted. Criminal cases should be lodged against the social media platform under the POCSO Act. And in this case, in the Instagram case, not only do they stop the videos, they promote the videos, and they also file an application day-to-day in the Supreme Court. The directions of the Supreme Court are not being followed. In our application, the Supreme Court has issued notice to the Union of India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Law."
