We have SLAM on the Robocap! 🎉 Visualized with Rerun Using NVIDIA AI Developer cuVSLAM for GPU-accelerated multicamera tracking. I basically wrote zero code myself and fully used Claude Code for this. It worked because I had so many existing examples to point to that it just wrote everything the way I would have. A few technical wins: 1. Used rattler-build from prefix.dev to package the compiled cuVSLAM CUDA binaries, which made it SUPER easy to use across repos. This also means it works on the DGX Spark (ARM64) out of the box. 2. Zero-setup experience: git clone && pixi run track-robocap auto-downloads a 100MB dataset from HuggingFace and tracks frames. 3. Real-time 3D visualization with trajectories, landmarks, pose graphs, and video playback in Rerun. Still visual-only (not visual-inertial yet), and loop closure needs some debugging. Next steps are getting this into a Gradio interface, then into daggr, and extending it to work with other datasets from exoego-forge. The last piece I'm excited about: Rerun's RRD files now support layers for incremental data. Planning to build pipelines that go from raw sensor data → slam -> human pose → depth estimation → etc. Repo here:

Scrum is a cancer. There's nothing more bureaucratic, dysfunctional, and slow than a team that just wants to build software, but they are being forced to do it using Scrum. If you are stuck with this, here is a recommendation that will change your life: Go to connect your email, GitHub account, and the software you use to manage projects, and build a workflow that will brief you before every standup. Dimension is pretty incredible. You can literally write a prompt and have Dimension build an agent that will do the work in the background for you. Example: "Go to Linear and GitHub and write a summary of the tasks I completed last week. Organize them based on priority and effort. Send me an email with the results." Schedule this workflow to run 10 minutes before your Scrum meetings, and you'll get an email right before you need it. You can have AI now do all sorts of tasks for you: 1. Brief you before a meeting 2. Reply or handle cold emails 3. Take care of support messages 4. Research tasks for you And all of this can happen unprompted, in the background. We started with interaction — a fundamentally new, agent-first experience. Agents are no longer passive tools invoked in a single conversation. They should be proactive, always-on units of work. Games marketing is broken. After raising over $50M to support and work with hundreds of studios over the last 6 years, I find that the biggest problem is studios’ lack of direct connection with their players. Over the last six years, I’ve watched talented teams struggle because they never had a clear way to reach, learn from, and grow with players over time. Without that connection, everything becomes harder - validation, iteration, community growth, and retention all turn into guesswork. For most of the games industry’s history, platforms have controlled identity, communication, and distribution, which are invaluable to a game’s success. Apple limited how studios could collect and use player contact information outside the App Store, and Steam still doesn’t give studios access to the contact details of players who wishlist or sign up for playtests. New short course: Building Code Agents with Hugging Face smolagents! Learn how to build code agents in this course, created in collaboration with Hugging Face, and taught by Thomas Wolf, its co-founder and CSO, and m_ric, Hugging Face’s Project Lead on Agents. Tool-calling agents use LLMs to generate multiple function calls sequentially to complete a complex sequence of tasks. They generate one function call, execute it, observe, reason, and decide what to do next. Code agents take a different approach. They consolidate all these calls into a single block of code, letting the LLM lay out an entire action plan at once, which can be executed efficiently to provide more reliable results.
