OAU students are suffering. The 72-hour lecture boycott by the students' union yielded no results. We had a very efficient transport system, and now we are forced by people who have their own private cars to enter CNG buses and motorcycles, which have proven to be very inefficient. To meet up with 9 AM classes, you have to leave your hostel by 6 AM. All motorcycles and commercial buses have been stopped. This is my fourth year in this school, and I have never experienced this type of queue. We are calling the attention of the public to the unnecessary plight OAU students have been subjected to. Please retweet for a wider audience whether you are an OAU student or not. We never asked for CNG buses. It should help make life better and not difficult for us

Hey Punks! Exactly 8 years ago (to the minute) I claimed my first punk. In the years since we've seen a ton of incredible ways the community has shown up for the project and created public goods for the ecosystem and here's yet one more for y'all to nerd out on. Excited to share a fun little tool for y'all I've been working on with Generative Goods and embroidery wizard (DCA) Daniel Calderon Arenas. Put your punkID in the box and get professional quality DST (embroidery) files of your punk in a variety of sizes. I see people wearing their punks all the time and after spending the last few years deeply studying machine embroidery understand how annoying and complex it can be to get a good digitized version of your punk. A good digitization can cost $100 and that's for a single sized output. The punk embroidery generator will give you a range of sizes in stitch-perfect outputs for any of the 10k punks plus for the DIY folks a cross-stitch pattern for you to make your own by hand (s/o to Fanny Lakoubay and Rachel Suzanne Tien Wood who completed theirs of STONE's #98 recently 🙌). We've put some instructions on the site to help you through the process, plus some embroidery machine recommendations in case you want to go all out and make them look at feel professional. Note: GenGoods is not set up to do the embroidery for these (our system uses the same 15 colors across all our projects and Punks use way more colors across all the various outputs) but the downloads on the site give you exactly what you need to walk into any embroidery shop and have them make your punk for you. We suggest thread colors in the tool but that's just to get you started. A good embroidery shop will have tons to pick from so just pick the colors that best match your punk. "Mega Man X5 Improvement Project Addendum" is about to become "Mega Man X5 Tweaks." Long overdue. The first release aims to make most changes from the Addendum project available individually, including those additional "hex editor" options that some of you might have missed entirely. And everything I've been working on for the past couple of years: 🤖 Armor sprites displayed by Parts (the big one) 🤖 Special Weapons (regular and charged) available for all Armors 🤖 Boss Parameters (Health Bars, Leveling System options, damage and speed values for select moves, and reduced idle times) And a few localization choices that previously were impossible to mix and match: All the English scripts we've gone through: 🤖 Original PS1 version 🤖 Original PS1 + MMXLC2 changes (what we had up to v1.5) 🤖 Retranslation (what we've had since v1.6), now available with either the new or the original font And also: 🤖 Japanese, with all the necessary graphics changes included ...And a bunch of Title Screen options. Why not. The GUI is still a work in progress, obviously, but it's growing daily. I might include a couple of extra things too. For the second year in a row, fate has prevented my children from being included on the school's list of successful students... not because they didn't work hard, but because the aggression prevented them from experiencing a moment of joy due to the circumstances. Unfortunately, they resumed the bombing tonight and made up for what they missed during the day yesterday. Half of the humiliating airdrops they dropped were dropped in areas under army control, and everyone who went there was killed.. I don't know how long this hell will last.. This may not be obvious right now, but as you start to let your agent work on dynamic workflows, large codebases, long-running loops (e.g., using /goal), and deep research tasks, you need a good way to present results. Chat window is not it. You also don't want to just trust everything the agents do. Artifacts help provide an important verification layer, which in turn enables important decision-making. I like HTML artifacts because I can just ask the agent to produce as many of them (and in whatever form) as I need to verify the work and make sense out of everything. I even built a nice tab system for my artifacts. They are great for continual learning and research. I use HTML artifacts for logging, tracking experiments, brainstorming, managing my inbox, code reviews, agent session management, deep research, writing, reading, and so much more. I believe Andrej Karpathy wrote about this somewhere: As we move on to more advanced applications of AI agents and outputs get more complex, we will start to find the need for even more advanced forms of interactions with AI, including interactive neural videos/simulations.

Drop the script into Claude Opus 4.8 and say: "Here's my script. Break it into a full shotlist. Shot number, scene, shot type, camera move and the action in each frame." Now the whole film is mapped, shot by shot. - Pull your assets. Ask Claude: "From this shotlist, list every character, every location and every prop across the whole film." That's your build list. 68 college students played video games an hour a day for 30 weeks. They got measurably smarter. EEG brain scans confirmed it. The setup was simple. Half the group played League of Legends, an action game. The other half played Legends of the Three Kingdoms, a strategy card game. Same hours, same schedule, no gaming experience for anyone going in. Both groups improved on attention, working memory, and executive function. The League group's gains were significantly larger in spatial attention and spatial working memory. The benefits were still measurable 10 weeks after the gaming stopped. None of this is new. Daphne Bavelier's lab at the University of Geneva has been replicating this finding since the early 2000s. Her 2018 meta-analysis in Psychological Bulletin pulled data from 8,970 participants across 15 years and found the same thing. Action games train attentional control, a brain skill that transfers to other tasks. Strategy games train deliberation, which mostly stays inside the strategy game. The mechanism is the counterintuitive part. Action games train your brain by giving you no time to think. The brain can't deliberate. League of Legends throws 9 champions, hundreds of minions, dozens of abilities, mana, cooldowns, and map state at you, all updating in milliseconds. The brain learns to perceive faster instead. That perceptual speed transfers to anything else that demands the same skill. Including surgery. The 2007 Rosser study in Archives of Surgery found that laparoscopic surgeons who played video games more than 3 hours a week made 37% fewer errors, completed procedures 27% faster, and scored 42% higher on overall performance. The top third of gamers made 47% fewer errors. Laparoscopic surgery is a 2D screen with distorted depth perception, remote-controlled instruments, and multiple data streams updating in real time. The cognitive profile is almost identical to an action video game. The 10-week persistence is the part that should change how this gets discussed. If the gains were just from practicing the game, they would have disappeared the moment the students stopped playing. They didn't. The 30 weeks rewired the perceptual system, and the rewiring stayed.
