Why do we need this? We've been building smart glasses tech for a long time. 6 years ago, we realized it was insanely difficult to make apps for smart glasses due to lack of software ecosystem. In that time, we've seen lightweight, all day glasses hardware arrive. We've seen incredible AI arrive. But our problem from day 1 is still here. It's hard to build apps. We've taken everything we've learned and built over the past 6 years and brought it together into AugmentOS, the operating system and app store for smart glasses. This is the last missing piece that will propel smart glasses into the mainstream, as the way we interface with AI agents.

Who is AugmentOS for? It's for smart glasses users. We currently have thousands of smart glasses users in our community who want more out of their smart glasses. AugmentOS unlocks your smart glasses for you. It's for developers. Devs can rapidly build apps and AI agents for smart glasses, and they can build a single app that runs on any pair of smart glasses, using the AugmentOS-SDK. It's for humanity. We're unlocking a higher bandwidth portal to AI agents. AI agents will massively increase our intelligence if they can collect our context and provide us with information the moment we need it. That's exactly what smart glasses provide.

How's AugmentOS work? As a user, you download the AugmentOS app to your phone, connect your glasses, and you're ready. The AugmentOS store has all the apps you need. Get it here: As a developer, your write an edge or cloud application that uses the AugmentOS-SDK ( You subscribe to context (e.g. video, transcripts) and push proactivity (e.g. AI insight). AugmentOS handles the rest. You then push your app to the AugmentOS store. And it's all 100% open source:
