My only criticism of Rob, he needs some fire. There’s been a handful of times he should be tossed to ignite his team.

This feels like the last time he stood up for his players and got thrown out

Bases loaded, 8th inning, 1 out, down 1, 3-0 count, and umpire Ron Kulpa blew consecutive strike calls that should've walked in the tying run for the Cards. Instead, Alec Burleson grounded into a double play to end the inning and was ejected. Cards lost by 1. #Cardinals #Cubs

Alright, now THIS one is a blown call. This one is CLEARLY off the plate. I am fully behind Cags on this one, that’s just an umpire who knows it’s getting late at night and just wants to go home. But that’s really bad.

Interesting Duane Heydt today’s umpire who made multiple critical calls. (Including a hold that took a TD away. And the roughing the passer penalty on Christian Wilkins.) His crew was suspended from the ACC championship game for unethical refereeing. His family is richer 2nite.

We had a mini Pine Tar Incident in the game between Fort Wayne and West Michigan. Home plate umpire Patrick Goode determined that TinCaps center fielder Ryan Wideman was using an illegal bat. And then…he just had to get a different bat.

This play happened a couple of years ago in a regional final matchup. Unique to say the least. A single up the middle to center field. One run scores. The center fielder charges and throws home. The second runner is coming in to score. The runner slides, the catcher swipes at his arm, was he safe or out? The issue here is the runner who scored before stays behind home plate and is waving for the next runner to get down. The home plate umpire bumps into him, trips, and falls down and doesn’t see the play. 🤯 You can defer to the field umpire but if he didn’t see it, what call can you make? 🤷‍♂️ Some said the runner should be out because the player who scored first interfered with the home plate umpire. I have never seen a play like this. What do you think? What’s the call? Safe or out?
