But it was all worth it to get back and give this little one a cuddle. Doing it all again Tomorrow, my sea food stall is back open so I’ll be up Billingsgate nice and early. man i’m so damn tired of getting packages stolen from my house i feel like i’m being held hostage if i ever have a delivery showing up since i can’t go anywhere that day; usually things disappear if they’re on my porch for more than an hour the most frustrating thing is the majority of them have been stolen by the same woman i chased her down the second time, grabbed my package back, and told her if she ever came on my property again i would call the cops this is now at least the 8th time. i was supposed to leave for a beach trip this morning but a delivery of some expensive stuff (one of them was a $650 cintiq tablet) was supposed to be delivered by 2pm so i waited… and it never came. waited until 3:30pm, still nothing, so i had to leave. got delivered at 4:30pm. and like magic, here she is again. she even stole my medicine one time. we’re up to like $4000 worth of stuff at this point. and last time, Raleigh Police didn’t do anything about it despite the detective i talked to saying they “definitely know who she is”

The last time Trump held a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, the residents were stuck paying the bill to clean up all of the trash left behind by his cult supporters. Back in my childhood home in Provence, like every summer. And now with my daughters who at least for a few weeks a year get to live French countryside style, the way their father grew up. Every year when I come back the house has been invaded by vegetation, so I end up spending a significant part of my holidays just cutting the growth, all to redo it all over again the year after 😅 With my daughters reliving my childhood, and me cutting the same vegetation year after year, it probably makes the cycles of nature the major theme of this house. Which is what a childhood home is all about: a place where permanence reveals itself through endless change, a silent witness to your family's transformation.

After taking 2 days away from here, which I'm going to do a lot more, I came back with a vengeance today. Today was a mixed bag. I've been feeling a bit wounded lately, BUT my daughter started wearing her cross again and agreed to come back to church with me for the 1st time in 2 years. She likes this video and suggested on Sundays we go around town and give little notes to strangers to lift them up. Love and kindness can take many forms. God bless you all. There's this great Lee Kuan Yew [founder of Singapore] speech that he gave when he was dealing with a strike that was happening. He says in this speech, and it gives me chills every time, he says I sat across the table from them and said get back to work. I will not allow you to bring this country down. And if you don’t do it, I’m prepared to rebuild it all from scratch again. And he said anyone who rules Singapore has to have iron in their veins. I will rebuild it all from scratch. I was watching videos like that and was like this is what I need to do as a leader. It was very inspiring. There are moments like that. You have to stand up and say: We're going in this direction and if you're not on board with it, that’s okay, you can leave. But we're going this way. That's leadership.

I was watching videos like that and was like this is what I need to do as a leader. It was very inspiring. There are moments like that. You have to stand up and say: We're going in this direction and if you're not on board with it, that’s okay, you can leave. But we're going this way. That's leadership.
