A driver was cited for reckless driving after crashing through a fence and into the backyard of a Fort Worth, Texas, home while children were outside Sunday, police said. One of the alleged suspects died whilst the other one sustained some injuries. The incident occurred in Verena on Wednesday, 24 December 2024. According to a report, Police as well Medical Emergency Services were called to the scene, and it was during this period when one of the men was pronounced dead, while the other was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is currently hospitalized under Police guard. The incident is believed to be linked to stocktheft incident, where 26 cattle, six goats, and a donkey were reportedly stolen from a certain farm in Verena. The Police investigation indicates that a shepherd was attacked earlier that day then robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. Thereafter, the suspects are believed to have fled the scene in two bakkies with trailers when their vehicles got stuck in the mud, leading to their capture and attack by the mob. Two bakkies were also torched during the incident.

We traveled all the way around the world and back home again. Where the treasure were the people we met along the way, the lessons we learned, and the life we lived to become a better person on this Earth.

A Glider bus driver and Syrian national says his family were forced out of their home after a two-year campaign of intimidation which led to a race hate attack on Sunday night. Torki Al Omare was at home with his wife and three children aged 11, 9 and 7 on Sunday night in Holywood when a group of masked youths attacked their home with stones, breaking windows and causing minor injuries to two of the children. Police are treating the incident on Church Green as a racially motivated hate crime. Mr Al Omare and his family have since moved out of their property and the bus driver says he will not return to the local area and plans to move his wife and children to west Belfast. Read more:

After Tropical Storm Edouard hit Texas, a tree in the yard of a house was knocked down. Sadly, only three baby squirrels from the squirrel family living inside the tree survived. The mother and father squirrels did not survive the storm. Luckily, the three baby squirrels were very lucky. The house cat found them and carried them into the house one by one in its mouth. The homeowner was shocked when they saw the cat coming into the house with the baby squirrels in its mouth. The cat took the baby squirrels in and cared for them as if they were its own kittens, protecting them and taking care of them. Sometimes, you don’t have to be the same species to save a life; all you need is a compassionate heart 🥺❤️

VIDEO: Residents rescue man gagged by wife, sons over pension dispute Residents of Oko-Filling, a serene neighborhood in Araromi, Ijoko, Sango Ota, came to the rescue of a man who had been bound, gagged and left for death by his wife and children following a dispute over his retirement benefits. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday, March 13, at the family’s residence. The conflict began when the man reportedly refused to hand over the entirety of his retirement payout to his wife and four sons. After receiving the money, he used a portion to open two shops for his wife in Abule after giving her N3 million. He also bought a N12 million car for himself while the family already owned a home in the area. However, his wife and sons, who are all university graduates, expressed dissatisfaction with the distribution of the funds and attempted to pressure him for more. The situation took a darker turn when the man sold the newly purchased vehicle shortly after acquiring it, raising suspicions among neighbors. A local landlord, who spoke to The Nation, revealed that the man was later discovered in his home with his mouth, hands, and feet bound. "He was tied like an animal to be slaughtered. They (his wife and kids) got some Aboki men, about six of them to tie him up. It was the strange noise from their parking that alerted residents who gathered in front of the house to know what was happening. "Landlords in the area who could not endure the noise at that hour, decided to go out and find out what was wrong. When they got to his compound, they saw a Korope (small bus) outside packing properties. "His wife and sons were the ones packing and so, the residents asked after the man. When the response given was not satisfactory, they forced themselves inside the house and saw the man completely bound with the Aboki people still inside the house, as though they were waiting to kill him.
