When people take on the mindset that jump racing is “cruel”, this is the video I’d love to show them. In front, you have Swore who is so excited to jump he leaves out 2 strides at the first and jumps with such enthusiasm and power he is still a foot over the hurdle…he goes down to the next two & measures them with such precision and power. In second, St James the Great gives an excited tail swish after each jump, showing he is thoroughly enjoying the jumping and knows he’s quite good at it. These horses love what they do…two successful converts from the flat prepping for the 2 biggest races of their careers to date in 10 days @ Iroquois Steeplechase 🐎

Dagknight technical progress As would be mentioned in a still unshared post by Michael Sutton, the dagknight effort is split into v0 devnet, v1 testnet and v2 mainnet candidate. I’ve been testing the current v0-based implementation in a small devnet with the help of some testers who run nodes and miners with me. The DK work can be thought of as split into two parts: (1) implementing the actual protocol and (2) wiring it up and using it. The testing and development over the last month has been focused on (2). Obviously, DK is a consensus change for selecting parents. What’s not so obvious is that such a change affects DAA, coinbase, IBD, pruning and a lot more. Each of these areas is very sensitive and requires proper understanding to wire correctly. An important consideration and difference from GD is that DK does not focus on maximizing a property like blue work. So to maintain topological properties of blue work, an independent (free) GD implementation is kept running specifically for maintaining blue work. This allows us to keep using the property for topology. Coloring and blue score use the megachain induced by DK. The wiring around DK as of this posting is in a working state, but still needs to be reviewed. Next efforts will be focused on protocol specific components, particularly Tie-Breaking and incremental UMC. Attached are some captures from the internal devnet. The dense DAG image is what happens when things related to DAA or other similar consensus parameter causes a node to insist on their POV. The video is a recent snippet of the KGI running on the devnet showing (perhaps not obviously) DK at work. The current “dagknight” branch is now posted on the main repo. After using English accents and fake AI-generated Irish music to promote the Croagh Patrick VR experience, delivered on obsolete VR hardware that has been discontinued for around three years, the team behind the project then uploaded a photo of themselves to the centre’s website from Mumbai, complete with bangra Indian music. This is an absolute scandal in the making. The council and local development companies fingerprints are all over this. More to come.

He covers his face and tries to start conversations, claiming he has lived in Pattaya for a long time and knows everything and every place around the area. He gradually steers the conversation toward asking for money. If tourists refuse, he becomes verbally abusive and walks away. The man is reportedly carrying a stun device and wanders around all night. Witnesses say he has been seen for months wearing the same clothes and covering his face while pacing around repeatedly throughout the night. People are warning others to be careful and asking authorities to keep an eye on the situation because he appears quite dangerous. Witnesses also say he sometimes shouts to himself in public, continues hiding his face under a hat, and wears the same outfit constantly. C Easton Carmichael (Oklahoma Baseball) is one of the top college catchers in this year's Draft. Started from the get-go as a Freshman and hit .306/.346/.482 with 18 XBH and 48 RBIs. Proceeded to enjoy an outstanding Sophomore campaign to the tune of a .366/.406/.563 slash line with 31 XBH, 64 RBIs and 12 SB. Carmichael was then an All-Star and All-League selection in the Cape League after hitting .299/.372/.496 with 10 2B, 5 HR and 23 RBIs across 36 games. Prototypical catcher's frame at 6'1" and 200-lbs with strength throughout. Slightly crouched stance in the box with a high handset and the bat held horizontally above his back shoulder. Hands drift a little bit in his load, leg lift leads into a normal stride. Does a nice job of getting into his back hip. Average bat speed. Carmichael has an aggressive approach and digs into the box ready to hit. He uses the entire field and has a tick above-average bat-to-ball skills. Has shown the ability to drive the baseball into either gap. Could stand to tighten up his swing decisions a bit; chased at a 35% clip and was particularly susceptible to secondaries down and away. Present barrel skills. Would say his hit tool is a 50 right now, though it's probably closer to a 55. It's more extra-base hit and gap-to-gap power than it is HR power for Carmichael right now, but he has shown he can generate quality contact. Posted a Max EV of 109.5 during the spring and 104.2 on the Cape. If he can pull the ball in the air more (had an Air Pull% of just 20.8 in '24), it could lead to an increase in power production. 50 raw, it plays more like 45 in-game. It's been encouraging to see the progress Carmichael has made defensively. Has gotten better at corralling balls in the dirt and his transfers have gotten quicker. Best part of Carmichael's defensive skillset is his receiving. Soft and quiet, consistently works down to up and has a knack for stealing strikes. Doesn't stab at the baseball. Average arm strength, continuing to shore up his footwork will only help as it pertains to controlling the running game and delivering accurate throws down to bases. A nice cherry on top to Carmichael's profile is that he's far from a clogger on the bases. By no means a burner, but he'll pick his spots to steal a bag. Carmichael has an intriguing toolset and profiles as a 2nd-4th round pick this July. (📽️: Oklahoma Baseball)
