Take a run of the mill council in Vic. 750mil+ in revenue Some management roles paid more than many pollies in Canberra (one almost on as much as the PM/state premiers). Plenty of no-tender 500k+ sums. 1600+ employees. You can just imaging the waste. I personally pay more for council rates for my house than I do for my water, internet/phone, gas and electricity bills combined (I have solar to help with power bills, but still, a ridiculous situation).
