Australian engineer Bobby Gallagher built a truck-sized 1 MW nuclear microreactor the Unity Nuclear Battery that can run for years without refuelling. It is illegal to build or operate here because of Australia’s ban on nuclear power. The US is now commercialising it. We banned the technology and exported... show more

Because they want to keep spending BILLIONS on windmills, and the NET zero, that’s why! 🤯 but we all know what’s really going on.

They have no interest in bringing prosperity to this country. They’re ruining it with every decision they make.

It’s intentional, they’re no longer even discreet about it. They’re simply going for it right now. Our only hope is One Nation at this point in time.

Wouldn't do it here now anyway because of the capital gains tax. Builds it for $10K, sells it for $10B, government takes the whole bloody lot minus inflation. Bugger that, do it in the US. Or New Zealand, where there isn't any CGT.

This country is being destroyed from within.

Another invention gone to benefit others instead of our country 🤬🤬🤬

We should be demanding a no confidence vote!

Australia is that mentally challenged only-child that inherits massive wealth, and then proceeds to squander it.

Another great mind lost to Australia. This has persisted ad infinitum😩

He would’ve tried to present his idea but we are so behind and there’s no point until the ban is lifted. A sad state of affairs.

Imagine if we didn't have retards in charge.

I can’t tolerate it.

@SH10611323 This energy simpleton keeps arrogantly gaslighting Australians that wind and solar are the cheapest forms of energy and that Australia will be a green energy powerhouse. The sooner Australia goes for nuclear energy the better.

Exactly we are being ruled by imbeciles It can’t be a coincidence this is happening

@Boost_Samurai But in Australia Bowen is to busy doing long term damage to the environment, installing short life inept renewable garbage, which will cause the biggest environmental catastrophe known, in placement and disposal while achieving nothing of benefit for Australia.

How did he build and test the prototype? It looks a bit like a Coal burner car. 😳

Fucken hell... the absolute fucken BULLSHIT some people will believe then spread on the fucken internet.

How is it BS?

Just because the reactor achieved criticality doesn't mean it will convert nuclear fuels into electrical energy any time soon. Do some fucken research you silly bitch or steer clear of a topic you know FUCK ALL about.

@KatyKray73 That deserves a block you coward key board warrior….

@KatyKray73 Do you really think I give a fuck about whether a dumb shitcunt like you 'blocks' me? Fuck off, you fucken space cadet.

@KatyKray73 Ha ha 😆 trigged leftist propaganda queen

@KatyKray73 Calling me a "leftist" proves that you're a fucken retard. Now go and read my bio, you shitcunt... and think of something different.

I can almost hear the liberal white women and soy boys who voted for greens screeching about dangers of nuclear power

@AlboMP you work for us Albo , lift the ban!! No taxpayer money involved or can I say, you can’t fix stupid.

We are suffering because of Labor’s owners - Turnbull & Co own renewables. They don’t care about the price of energy as they are rich & making money from this scam. Bowen is their monkey.

@KeiranDinnie It just proves that they don’t want clean energy, and they don’t want innovation, and they don’t want to make our energy efficient and cheaper.

Don't get too overexcited . It achieved a controlled nuclear reaction - thats all ! It is years away from generating electrcity & even then it will generate 1 MW . We have 21,000 MW of coal to replace in the next 25 years . It won't be commercial available for 10 years .

We are the dumbest country.

More like the dumbest leaders. The Australians that didn’t vote for this are outraged.

Unfortunately, our leaders reflect on us. Even though we are in a rigged 2 party duopoly system run by foreign interests...

@Alisonisnta Instead they’re pretending to invest hundreds of millions in solar panels and batteries for pacific islands

Australia is Run by a Criminal Regime

@FabricLouise

100% agree. Having done some work in this area. Power should be 1.8-2.3 cents per kw at source , 4c per kw to consumers. ( vs 28+) Massive economic shot in the arm. Why are politicians the most corruptible and stupid people on earth . Can’t hate the bastards enough

If John Howard hadn’t banned nuclear as a power in Australia would Labour have banned it anyway or are they forever thankful to JH

When do we say enough and remove this shit govt

Everyone with innovation skills, ambition, entrepreneurship, or any other skill that would help Australia advance is being actively discouraged from utilising those skills to the point where they are being pushed out of the country. Australia is stupid.

Didn’t the Australian people vote against Nuclear Power at the last election?

A near 30 year old ban, still in place, not even looked at. No chance of even discussing merits or non merits-To give crisafulli his due, anything he is implementing has a time set to "review. I dare say most of all legislation strangling us to death, should be. Vote One Nation.

We ban it. The Yanks take it commercial. That’s energy policy in this country. Kill the thing that works, wave the inventor goodbye, then tell us why the power bill keeps going up.

@LdogExtreme We have so much talent in Australia but are literally thwarted by idiots in government

Funny how the VRE lobby say a future technology breakthrough will make batteries the saviour of wind/solar but now it looks like the tech breakthrough is going to be nuclear and it was done by an Australian... Trillions spent/productivity collapsed for naught.

US also buys a lot of Australian uranium. US wants you to come with us into the future. We will be here when you are ready.

Australia is a dumb country

It was a proof of concept, not a nuclear reactor.

@Princymthombeni this could work perfect for RSA wouldn’t you agree?

It’s not legal to build or operate in the US either. Yet, if ever.
