There is a girl on tik tok who recites poetry that she writes. Her poems are beyond beautiful. Today, I found one she recently done on 1D. It was so emotionally beautiful about how we grew up with them and how they made us feel. This is why we hurt so much when we lost Liam. They gave so much through their words and made us all believe we were invincible. " You never know words at what time you might find yourself to really need." Unfortunately, Liam didn't get to see all the right words and may have only seen the hate. But also makes me remember that we only get one shot at life - and we gotta be there for each other when we're down, lift each other up, and help each other see the light. Block out negativity and noise and always lead with humanity. Esperanza and Edwin, blessed me with these stories of Lily Rose. Lily Rose saying, "daddy you're my Maui" is just beautiful. Today, I took my children, Imad and Adam, along with my sister’s children—Elaine, Maher, and Ahmed—to the sea in Gaza. 🌊❤️ For a few hours, we forgot the heat inside the tent. We forgot the sounds of war and let the children laugh the way every child deserves to laugh. I swam with them, looked at their smiling faces, and prayed that one day they would have a normal childhood—without fear, displacement, or war. We may not be able to change our reality today, but we are trying to create beautiful memories for our children in the midst of all this pain. These small moments are what give us the strength to keep going. 💙🍉
