Don’t pay for cardioversion. Finger yourself at home to save money. Follow for more medical life hacks.

😂🤣 But might not be as effective, for example, tickling yourself is generally less effective than being tickled by another person 😜

For those who haven’t read this masterpiece, here is the link 🔗

He opened his third eye, his healing chakras were in his ass.

😂🤣🤦🏻♂️

Ive had 2 cardioversions and having my 2nd ablation in the morning. I am so happy with my choices after seeing this, my cardiologist has large hands…:)

Good luck with the ablation! If you change your mind, please ask your cardiologist about alternative self-cardioversion that you can do at home 😅

Thank you it went well an fingers crossed this time

Testing coagulation with PR? Bizarre! Mandatory PR test has never been prerequisite in the U.K. for cardio version. If vagal stimulation was the aim there is always a carotid or two to press,or Peep. Entirely possible that AF was paroxysmal, reversing spontaneously with the PR.

Interesting to hear this practice, ie doing a PR to collect FOBT before starting anticoagulation. I think every aspect in this sentence sounds wrong!

Digital rectal exam prior to cardioversion? I have never heard of that.

Prior to starting anticoagulation - to look for occult blood 🤷🏻♂️

I guess the size of finger matter 😂

😅

This guy is more of a legend than he realises 🔥

Prof: “Case reports don’t matter” Me: (shows him this case report)

Means urologists have been saving lives without realizing it🤔

AND?! What’s the point of this LONG ASS STORY?! Did you stumble on to (into?) a repeatable new procedure? Are others successfully replicating the findings? Could the rectal stimulation have affected the vagus nerve, affecting heart rhythm? WHAT’S THE POINT?!

Well, he explains how his finger ended up in the backside of a patient with AF

Damn, He found the restart button , that's how you force restart on a human pro max

I had never heard of this before, but I know of a couple of people who died of massive heart attacks after hemorrhoid surgery. Has this ever been studied?

There are mortality risks associated with general anaesthetic, and to a lesser degree, the procedure, eg thrombosis, perianal infection, bleeding, etc.

@thxdor3 I still don’t get the reason for doing a PR

@thxdor3 The delay between inserting the finger and resolution of AF is known as the PR interval

@doctor_naija @thxdor3 This is your best pun. Maybe the best medical pun of all time.

@doctor_naija @thxdor3 Thank you sir 😜

I have worked in emergency for 17 years as a specialist and heart arrhythmia daily. We never once violated someone's anus just because he came with AF 😆.

In lots of hollistic wellness circles, relaxing that fascia around the buthole is like one of the solutions to a whole suite of problems.

I’m not sure if relaxation is the effect here

Doesn’t matter, it disrupts the holding pattern in that area and releases tension

911 - 911 what’s your emergency? Caller- OMG, my husband appears to have had a heart attack. 911- ok I’m getting an ambulance to you now. Do you know CRP? Caller- why yes, I took first aid in high school. 911- well things have changed a little- I need you to stick a finger- 2 if you have small hands- up your husbands butthole first, as far as you can go. Like you’re digging for gold! Caller-😲😲😲 WTF?😵💫😵💫😵💫🤢🤢🤢 911- trust us! It’s worked before.

Like this 😬😅?

That’s one way to get rabies… 😂

Wait I must have missed something. So you sticking your finger inside his ass “shocked him” to the point his heartbeat became normal? Hahahaha

One look at his hands, and I’m sure the patient actually had a miraculous recovery. This is how you cure a hypochondriac, unless of course….

I’ve cardioverted several atrial fibrillations and other arrhythmias in CTICU and cardiac surgery and never in my career have I ever heard that a patient needs a DRE prior to DCCV for AC purposes. Makes no sense. We obviously need to clear the LAA with a TEE to ensure no clot if the onset and duration of afib is unknown or >48 hours but a DRE prior to DCCV that’s insane.

@ElvistLl That was over 15 years ago when interns in USA would do FOBT for rectal bleeding and all sorts of causes

@Euniqueje This guy is lying about the entire thing. There is no way an Asian dude is 6’3” and is built like a footballer.

I love the story time for this paper 😂

This used to be done to infants brought into the E.R. by moms bc of tachycardia. These days, "sensibilities" don't allow that. Instead, residents are taught to inject the babies with adenosine. Could also dunk the pt's face in a basin full of water to induce a diving reflex.

PSVT can be converted by anal stretch. This is not unknown. I'm not suggesting it or requesting it BTW...

The cardiology attending was named Dr. "Kakas"? Appropriate for this case😹

Nice to know at a teaching hospital the Dr doing your rectal exam is doing because they lost the rock, paper, scissors game. 😂😂

la forma favorita del @AcidoRinon jajajaja

You’re telling me for 40 years I’ve been sitting on my reset button!

I converted a patient out of a fib by doing an esophageal balloon dilation of a stricture once

I wonder if it has to do with vagus nerve stimulation.

I thought you have patient give you a poop sample……um when he goes potty😐

Scared straight?

Damn what a strange way to check for GI bleed, have they done rectal vs vagal study?

Football fingers : when girth really matters 🤦😂

Healing finger.
