THREE ARRESTED AFTER SHOOTING, ROBBERY, AND VEHICLE CRASH IN SACRAMENTO At approximately 5:33 PM on Thursday, January 22, North Division Patrol Deputies responded to the area of Fulton Avenue and Hurley Way in Sacramento for a report of a vehicle collision that had escalated into a physical fight. While deputies were responding, it was reported that an individual was shooting into a crowd. Deputies determined that three suspects—25-year-old Avieon Spencer, 35-year-old Antwon Pace, and a 14-year-old juvenile—had been driving erratically through a parking lot before crashing their vehicle, causing it to overturn onto its side. One victim was struck by gunfire, and an arriving Sacramento Metro Fire engine was also struck. Fire personnel were forced to flee on foot and were fortunately not injured. Spencer and the juvenile fled the scene in different directions. The juvenile was quickly apprehended by responding deputies. Sheriff’s K9 units tracked Spencer from the scene, and Sheriff’s K9 Billy located him hiding in a nearby residential neighborhood, where he was taken into custody. He was later medically cleared and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for robbery and delaying a public officer, with bail set at $50,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 26. The handgun used in the incident was recovered.
