Developed at NASA Langley, SCALPSS, or Stereo Cameras for Lunar Plume-Surface Studies, will fly on four commercial lunar landers in 2028 as part of NASA’s Moon Base Program. The instrument helps researchers understand crater formation and the characteristics of ejected materials during landings—critical insight as larger landers touch down closer together. Last year, SCALPSS captured this first‑of‑its‑kind imagery during Firefly’s Blue Ghost Mission 1. Listen as Moon Base Program Manager Carlos García-Galán talked about the importance of SCALPSS during the lander announcement on June 30. Learn more about NASA's Moon Base Program:

We're entering a new era of lunar exploration. With high-definition cameras on our landers, rovers, and Moonfall drones, people around the world will be able to watch as we explore the lunar surface, search for water ice, and prepare for a permanent human presence on the Moon.

Congratulations to Blue Origin on the successful launch of their New Glenn rocket today! We designed our FLEX rover to work alongside landers like Blue Origin’s Blue Moon Mark 1 on lunar cargo operations. FLEX is the last mile lunar delivery solution, ready to handle the cargo brought by rockets and landers to the lunar surface. Best of luck to NASA as the ESCAPADE spacecraft begin their journey to Mars!

The near impossible is becoming possible. We are building toward a sustained human presence at the lunar South Pole. It begins with Phase 1: CLPS landers and LTV rovers testing the “science of survival” on the lunar surface before heavy HLS cargo landers deliver the mass and infrastructure needed for an enduring presence. We are building the Moon Base for all we will learn, the innovation that will improve life on Earth, the inspiration for the next generation of explorers, and to master the skills needed for where we will inevitably go next...Mars. The Golden Age of lunar exploration has begun.

The Moon and Copernicus Crater: Signals and UFOs Spotted Again New footage in high quality showcases the area around the Copernicus crater on the Moon. Once again, mysterious signals and unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have reportedly been observed, sparking intrigue and debate. The video offers a detailed view of the lunar surface, focusing on the prominent Copernicus crater, a well-known landmark often studied for its striking features and peculiar anomalies. Could these observations hold clues to unexplained lunar phenomena? Watch and decide for yourself.
