Early Vipers not having electronic stability control and traction control was a complete disaster.

Early gen vipers were almost designed to kill you. No airbags, no TC, and no ABS. Dads with some money bought them and weren't prepared. Nightmare.

No traction control on those was absolutely BONKERS for the first production car w over 500hp. Knew several people who totaled vipers.

Luckily this wasn’t a mustang and nobody was around.

to think this car used to have their own action tv show..... you must admit the design is legendary and timeless.

He was so cool for like 8 seconds. They are second only to BMW drivers as the worst on the road.

He made it further down the road before wrecking than any viper owner before him

Do all Vipers loose control?

All except the last gen ones

Seems like every video I see of a person on a sidewalk hyping up a Viper owner to race their car, the Viper immediately looses traction and crashes.

It's pretty standard.

u can tell the viper was a mid life crisis purchase 👴🏻

toast mfer that integra has no hood, jaysus💀😂

As a long term viper owner this is 100% correct. But it wasn’t because of no traction control or abs, no cars had it back then, it’s just a damn squirrely car where the drivers seat is right over the rear tires. Like riding a bull where the bucking flank is. Insane car

Cannot stand these street racers on open public roads. Those assholes are lucky they didn't hit a pedestrian. One of my trucks was totalled by scumbags like this. Take it to a legal racetrack.

You have to know how to drive to be behind the wheel of a powerful rwd car without electronic nannies

Mustang Owners right now.

Great engine. Horrible everything else.

The perfect car. It's only shortcoming is the firing order of the V10. Especially the early ones sound awful but they were a firing order change away from sounding sublime. Something I wish OEMs would take seriously. Lots of sporty 4 cyl cars could actually sound like amazing little half-V8s with crossplane crankshafts. The Yamaha R1 post 2009 sounds godly.

The “did he run” comment was the stupidest thing about this video no he just kept driving the other guy drove his car off the road .

Props to the Dodge engineers for that guy walking away.

Viper owner? More like widowmaker with a V10

Don’t even pull up on those shitbox jap cars man you never know, they might have like 7 eBay turbos on it and you end up getting gapped by that turd. Not worth it.

They aren’t dangerous, just don’t be an idiot (the hard part). I’ve had nothing but fun in my 2002 GTS - here’s clicking over 35k

my uncle had a viper and those things are literal death traps like usual, dodge engineers were smoking meth when they designed that car.

The rear spring rate and shock valving on the older vipers were way too stiff. Also, the upper rear suspension arms are significantly shorter than the lowers.. which causes drastic variations in camber angle every time the suspension cycles. Literal 5 year old designed this car.

I drove a 96 GTS 1 time. It was a monster. Unwieldy. Scary. It's still one of my top 3 dream cars. For cruising and pure aura. No racing that shit....

I don’t think I have ever seen vipers do anything but wreck.

Smoked a Viper in a naturally aspirated 1968 Chevelle with a 400 CID small block back around 2001. Dude decided to grind the teeth off of 3rd gear in his transmission because he didn’t know how to drive the car. Don’t care, he still had to pay that $100. 🤷🏻♂️

destroyed a viper over a acura integra… fool

One time I was skateboarding at night on a country road like an idiot and one of these early gen vipers went flying past me at what I image was 80+mph and then 10 seconds later I heard it crash. I was high as balls so I didn't go to investigate. Next day found out the guy died.

A buddy with one got drunk and tossed me to the keys to get us home. Even normal driving they have a learning curve, let off the gas too quickly and that big engine brakes fast enough to slip the rear end.

>i cant drive >this is the cars fault cope seethe sneed

No traction control + the torque on the upshift kicks the ass out - They take a certain set of skills to handle.

My dealership called me they had a left over 97 GTS they offered me for one hell of a good price. I called my Insurance co and they wanted 10K a year to insure. Crushed that idea....

God smoteth the accursed boomer.

THERE GOES ANOTHER VIPER. WHEN WILL THE VIPER GENOCIDE END??????
