Why not focus on cases involving data from equipment that is no longer classified for national security reasons? For example, in New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska. Be practical; only one case with sufficient data is needed. @ProfAviLoeb @GarryPNolan

So they're just going back on incidents that are already known about to try and figure out with the meta data to weed out prosaic explanations. It's a good idea, but generally means they probably don't have access to much more then the public.

It would be unusual that they were holding data that is not classified.

Investigative challenges the Advisory Council is currently facing represent quite demotion from what Robertson panelists had access to in 1953. Back then, USAF and CIA granted members limited access to classified data for scientific review.
