Many of these are staged but for the sake of argument, we’ll assume it’s real. That being said, never surprise your wife with an investment that huge. There are many very good reasons NOT to get a Cadillac but ‘this-one’s-pretty-too’ ain’t one of them. Even if she pretends to like it but doesn’t, it will bring problems in your life. Discuss it with her BEFORE you make that big of an investment. If my wife said she wanted a Cadillac, the first thing I would say is the the depreciation on them is way too high on them, so we would explore more alternatives.
