❌ Avoid fetching data in useEffect ✅ Instead use libraries like react-query that have a strong built-in mechanism for data fetching.

⚛️ A common useEffect mistake I often see people make: ❌ Don't put event's logic in useEffect. ✅ Instead put it right in the event handler ↓

❌ Avoid resetting state when prop changes in an effect. ✅ Instead, use the key prop to tell react what makes the component reset its state.

The stock market is punishing strong economic data. A blowout jobs report is normally good news, yet several strong reports have sent stocks lower within hours instead. In the analysis below, we break down six S&P selloffs after strong US payrolls since 2015, along with three times the market rallied instead. The trigger isn't inflation alone, it's how the data shifts expectations for the Fed.

🧪 React testing tip: Avoid performing side effects in waitFor. Instead put side effects outside waitFor callbacks and use the callback for assertions only.

I created a cinematic, data-driven UI built around complex systems and a strong central hero. First non-client UI I’ve built from scratch in a long time. Built in Illustrator → animated in After Effects. Hero asset: Midjourney → Nano Banana wireframe.
