You know that cream in the middle of Oreos? "It's not cream at all. It's f***ing rapeseed oil, whipped with emulsifiers that act like edible glue, holding the sludge together." Originally an industrial lubricant, rapeseed oil is extracted using hexane, a known neurotoxin linked to nerve damage and long-term cognitive decline. Subsequent refining steps, including bleaching and high-heat deodorisation, promote the formation of harmful byproducts such as aldehydes—known to cause inflammation, insulin resistance and increased cancer risk. Heating rapeseed oil at high temperatures leads to the formation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), also known to be carcinogenic. In other words, STOP CONSUMING rapeseed oil if you value your health!

“Real mayonnaise” on the label… and the first ingredient is soybean oil (or rapeseed oil in the EU version). Dr. Daniel Pompa lost it in the supermarket aisle, and honestly, same. Hellmann’s and Duke’s scream “real mayo,” but flip the jar and it’s mostly cheap seed oil — soybean in the US, rapeseed in Europe — followed by water, egg, vinegar, and more blends. Even the “avocado oil” versions sneak in the industrial oils right behind the vinegar. Pure marketing bullshit. Our parents never ate this version. Pompa’s right: the only good options are the rare clean jars — or just make your own in two minutes with actual avocado or olive oil and real eggs. Anyone else get fed up when “healthy” or “real” labels lie this blatantly?

Oreo cream isn’t cream at all — it’s straight-up plastic glue. Factory shows them mixing industrial slop with rapeseed oil and chemicals just to make that fake white filling. Tastes like it too 😂 Who’s still eating these?

Butter spreads contain things like #PalmOil, rapeseed oil etc. to make them spreadable straight from the fridge. To do that cheaply they replace part of the dairy fat with oils. Choose block butter - simple ingredients & better supports our farmers. Avonmore Tirlán
