Legitimately, Piccolo treats Pan like a granddaughter vs. how he treated Gohan as his surrogate son. His growth through out each series is astounding, and still manages to be a stoic badass.

I love how Piccolo really is just part of the family. Yeah he beat us this kid when said kid was like 5, but the kid just kept being nice to him anyways. So now Piccolo is just ride or die for the bloodline

Btw pan at the end of z saga was not only flying around the world as training but in the budokai
