Please, everyone in the US that sees this. If you are looking to adopt a cat or kitten, don't ignore black cats. This stigma they have of being unlucky is a myth. They are just as sweet and precious as any other, if not more so. Mine is the most affectionate pet I've ever had.

You are both wonderful people for adopting this adorable kitten. He is very young, not much more than 8-0 wks old. Sometimes the mother will reject one or all of her kittens, abandoning them. You are right: black cats are the last to be adopted. I have one myself, from a shelter. She'd been there 2 weeks.

Similar story with Oliver. He was dumped in a ditch at 3 wks old. He's 15 now and very much loved.♥️

I lost my 18 year old cat to cancer, a fatty liver and kidney problems on August 15th of last year. A very sad day. This story reaffirms that I must adopt another cat soon. This made my day, such a beautiful story!
