For the first time ever, we brought vehicles onchain this past week. OpenVPP has begun building a portfolio of flexible energy resources for grid providers, starting with vehicles in our OpenVPP World Beta. So why does this matter? Energy abundance has always been the cornerstone of societal advancement. Access to energy is directly linked to GDP. gm, so a bit of a look ahead for BRAINROT COMMUNITY BUILDING > TRIALS > BURNS this weekend we launched the discord, working on the community API(CPI) for community members to start building whatever they want. Looking to launch the CPI early this week. working on the next big release which will be the agentic trials. each token gets trialled by a team of agents and receives metadata tags as a result. Trials will be replayable and viewable for every token. The metadata will serve a function when burning (more on that later) after the trials we will launch THE LAB which will be a place where you can manage your burns and modifying your remaining BRAINROTS after burns. This period right now is for building the community, and accumulating BRAINROTS. I have been talking about a few of these things in our private channels at greater depth, and will talk more about them in the near future. The plan for BRAINROT is to have the community have agency, choice and an active role in shaping the collection through burns, modifications and re-rolls. These will unlock new body types, new fashion and new accessory types and even more diversity into the collection. There will also be an option for creating legendaries which are custom designed either by me or an artist of your choice where possible. These will come at a great cost in burns though. Ola recently announced that they are bringing affordable AI to Indian developers. 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐬 an Indian company has been providing affordable GPUs for developers across the globe since 2020. We are a little known, so I want to share our story here. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 We are bootstrapped, building from the outskirts of Coimbatore. Started as a small team of 4, from humble backgrounds none from IITs/IIMs. Currently, we are a team of 12+. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝 The cost of hosting GPU servers 4 years back in India was insanely high. We got 2 quotes which charged us Rs. 1.5L for a single server per month. At that cost, it was not practical for us to do the business. So we went to the first principle to build an MVP for a mini data center/server room. For the first few years, we ran all our servers from a room fitted with ACs, a UPS, and a Generator, which experts claimed would not work. As we scaled, we faced the heat of our setup, but by then we accumulated more money than we had. So last year we moved it to a tier 3+ DC near Bangalore. This helped us boost the confidence of our users, as we have redundancy for power, internet, and networking which gives us and our customers a lot of peaceful nights. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐬 Developers and artists from across the world have supported us in our journey. Some prominent companies are ZOHO (My inspiration), Weights and Biases, UNC, UpGrad, and many more. 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 We crossed 580K USD in the last financial year, the highest ever in our history. Being bootstrapped, the only way for us to grow is to put all the money back. Our customers are our investors, as a founder I have hardly taken a paycheck for the last 4+ years, since the team also believes in our vision they are happy not taking a fancy cheque. The Xiaomi SU7 just keeps crashing in China - Part 3 This is getting out of hand. Every day, we see new videos on Chinese social media of crashing Xiaomi SU7 sedans. We only post 25% or so, there is much more. Since our last Xiaomi crash-post on April 6, at least 10 new crashes have happened. Whenever a new model is launched, photos of crashes of that car start to appear on Chinese social media, just because people pay attention. Normally, after a few months, the attentions is over and the model really crashes as much as any other car. But in case of the Xiaomi SU7, something more seems to be going on. The latest videos show SU7 sedans in a ditch and against barriers. The 2nd video is interesting. It shows an SU7 on a parking lot, crashing into a Chery QQ that was parked there. Perhaps the auto-park function didn't notice the small QQ and went for it? There have been reports in Chinese media that insurance companies are refusing to insure the SU7. Xiaomi and the insurers have stated that these reports are false. We will try to find out more about insurance prices for the SU7. The RWD SU7 Pro has 220 kW, the AWD Max has 673 kW and the AWD Ultra has 1138 kW. When the SU7 launched, there was a problem with the brakes. This has since been fixed, according to Xiaomi. Also, the launch of the Ultra has led to some debate in China, about whether it is wise to sell a 1138 kW (1548 hp) car to anyone who can afford it. Do you stick with your staff and try new strategies, or hire a coach who specializes in your preferred system? • Audio & Settings Enhancements – A custom Varsity marching band drumline is being composed to add more energy to the game. Plus, menus now have sound effects, and new resolution options (16:9 and 16:10 ultrawide) have been added. • 3D Player & Stadium Models – The new player models are fully integrated, showcasing enhanced customization and animations. Pro-style stadiums for playoffs and championships are also in development! • Motion Capture Upgrades – Defensive back (DB) movements have been refined using motion capture for better realism. We’ve also improved base locomotion (running, turning, and movement) and are hiring a full-time AAA animation specialist.
