Victor Osimhen is trending because the short-fused Super Eagles striker was substituted, after exploding on teammate Ademola Lookman, over a pass. In 2022, Italian journalist Alvino, described the Jagun Jagun as “selfish”. After he characterized snapping at teammates when they fail to find him. Thereby ruining team morale. Today, he aggressively confronted Man Of The Match, Lookman leaving him appearing confused. Osimhen reduced his pace and later asked Eric Chelle for a sub. In the 68th minute, Moses Simon replaced the Galatasaray man. After the game, Osimhen ignored the team and strutted to the showers. This is not for first time Victor Osimhen is snapping. In 2023, at Napoli he was subbed off after missing a PK, he openly blasted the Napoli coach, Rudi Garcia. Of course, the famous outburst at Super Eagles legend, Finidi George. Last year August he snapped at Yunus Akgün for not passing to him At Galatasaray, a game they won 4-0. Same 2025 March, he got mad at the Nigerian team for not beating Zimbabwe and walked away, despite players begging him to stay for the huddle. Osimhen angrily strutted into the dressing room. Interestingly, this time, some fans are supporting his actions. Arguing that, Ademola Lookman was indeed selfish. Even though he already created two goals (one for Osimhen) and scored one for himself. Others argued that, Ademola Lookman doesn’t deserve the disrespect from Osimhen. And should be dropped. According to Moses Simon and Chidozie Awazim, the players involved have made peace; Osimhen, Ndidi and Ademola Lookman. Follow Trending Explained for daily explanations!

After the signing of FDJ, Barca never spent on midfielders. Pedri was a smart signing made through scouting. But Barca never signed an established midfielder except Frank Kissie who came for free. VICTOR MOW FROHOLDT👾🪄 I know his signing will be very expensive looking at the prices of Tonali & Mateus. But Victor is a generational machine in the midfield. A proper B2B profile, standing at 1.88m tall is highly effective at recycling possession under pressure and finding open pockets in the half-spaces. He's very direct robust & crucial with his runs demonstrated sharp penalty-box instincts with late & untracked runs into the area. Defensively, He's very good at shield the ball cleanly, a high pressing midfielder & high workrate Athlete similar to Gordon. He's got great spatial awareness and defensive positioning. A very go-to midfielder which Flick will love having. At Bayern he had Kimmich & Thiago as orchestrators which is Pedri at Barca but he had Leon Goretzka who was the lungs in the midfield. Hansi Flick loves an interior CM who makes late, untracked diagonal runs into the penalty area (similar to Leon Goretzka’s role under Flick at Bayern Munich). Victor Froholdt has a 85m Release Clause in his contract which can be brought down as Porto are interested in Rooney, thus a deal around 50m could be possible. Andréas Christensen u have a job & that's to bring your Danish teammate home. Barcelona must make the next big signing in the midfield & bringing Victor Froholdt will shake things up surely. Imagine a midfield of Pedri - Bernal/Gavi - Froholdt that's epic orchestratory destruction & heaven like Workrate. Bring the next Danish Superstar to SUNNY BLAUGRANA. 💙❤️

Mbappe does not have the IQ to play football “very” effectively without his speed. Calm, and don’t drag me yet. Do you know why Messi is still effective at his age despite being slower? It’s because he has learned how to play football without having to run too much. At some point, Mbappe’s speed will reduce, but he doesn’t have that much IQ to survive so much without it. On dead ball situations where he doesn’t have to run, just watch, he’s less effective. He can’t drop a mad line-breaking pass, he can’t wiggle around players. I mean, anything that doesn’t involve his speed, he’s less effective. Of course he’s done a lot without his speed, but he’s less potent, I hope you don’t misunderstand this part. Mbappe is deadliest on transition. Same with Barcola and Dembele. If a team is in shape, these guys are not effective, e.g Paraguay…you can also see the France team, they don’t intend to keep the ball, their only plan is to wait for you to lose it and they play it to those 4 guys, you are finished. Please listen to Thierry Henry. He said he was so quick and relied on his speed, a coach had to tell him at some point to play without his speed. This made him think more and play more with his brain. As Mbappe grows, his speed will slow down, he still has more than 10 years to play, and I hope he can learn that part where he can be effective without speed. Cristiano scored more after 30 years old when his speed had reduced. I hope you guys get my point, I know many will still misunderstand it.
