The worst kind of drawdowns is when you have already lost money for a while, or been going sideways for a while. Like going sideways for months and months, and then you have a big drawdown. That’s really demoralizing. That’s the worst kind of drawdown. The best kind of drawdown is when things been going really, really well, and then you give some of it back. Like, let’s give you an example. Like here back in 2014, late 2014, when I lost half my account in one day. I had been on a big run for the past six months or so. Meanwhile, here I had a drawdown. Yeah, this is where I lost at 700k I think. You know, I had been going sideways for like 3, 4 months, and then I had a big drawdown. Now that’s demoralizing. That’s really demoralizing. So it’s a, there is a difference between a drawdown and a drawdown. In my opinion, even though, even if you lose the same amount of money, psychologically there’s a huge difference.”
