Who can help me figure this out? With the 'legacy' Cloth in Blender you can add Hooks and stretch a mesh during simulation. With the same setup and the new Cloth Dynamics in Blender 5.2, it just pulls on the individual Vertices. What am I doing wrong? #B3D #Blender #Blender3D

Did you know that in Blender you can easily make pillows with the 'Cloth' modifier? ✨ 1. Select the object that's gonna be beneath your pillow 2. Press 'Collision' on the physics tab 3. Add a cube and add some loops to it with Ctrl+R 4. Press 'Cloth' on the physics tab 5. Enable 'Pressure' and set the custom target volume to 1. You can tweak this value depending on how big your pillow is 6. Decrease the collision distance in 'Object Collisions' 7. Press space to play the animation 8. Press Ctrl+3 to add a subdiv modifier with 3 levels to make it look smoother! You can choose a frame that you like and apply the 'Cloth' modifier to make it into a static mesh by going to the Modifiers tab, hovering over the 'Cloth' Modifier and pressing Ctrl+A! For better results add more loops to your original mesh! ✨ #b3d

Press CTRL+G to assign it to a new vertex group, and CTRL+H to hook it to a new empty 3. On the physics tab add a Cloth modifier and in the Shape section select the Pin Group 4. It creates mesh-like links between bones and fixes most clipping instantly. ✨For simple double-layer skirts, you can also try applying Mesh Cloth to each layer separately and enable Self-Collision ✨Small frills, ribbons, or ties without bones → slap Mesh Cloth on them too. There is a beautiful Catholic tradition with that piece of cloth (manutergium) which was used to wipe the oil of chrism from his hands. The mother is to keep this cloth for the rest of her life. Upon her death, she is buried with it in her hands. As tradition says, when she arrives to the gates of heaven, she will present the cloth to show that she raised a priest who shared in Jesus's life and suffering.
