Angelina Jolie brought in her own daughter to play young Aurora in Maleficent after the other child actors were frightened by her costume and makeup.

Angelina Jolie cast her daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt as the young Princess Aurora in the movie Maleficent because other child actors were too frightened of her in her Maleficent costume and makeup.  The intense makeup, horns, and overall appearance of the character proved too intimidating for other young performers.
