Damien Chazelle hasn’t released a new film since 2022’s Babylon & it’s been long enough. I could really go for some more Chazelle right now. I’ve read reports that Chazelle is working on a prison drama with Daniel Craig & Cillian Murphy. If that’s true, it can’t come soon enough.

Damien Chazelle hasn’t given us a new film in three years. Some have suggested that he’s in “director jail” since releasing Babylon. I can’t imagine that’s true because I don’t think Chazelle’s ever directed a bad film. He deserves creative freedom- he’s earned it at this point.

La La Land turns 9 this week. I had the pleasure of speaking with Damien Chazelle a few years ago about Babylon, but I had to let him know that this film rocked me to my core. Lifelong regret. Bad timing. Themes all of us can relate to regardless of where we come from in life.
