It wasn’t the lip syncing that was bad, it’s how she handled it afterwards that made it worst imo. Instead of taking responsibility, she blamed her band members for playing the wrong song. If she had just handled it better than I don’t think people would’ve made a big deal out of that situation. I can’t stand this whole revisionist history of “Ashlee Simpson’s career was ruined by that lip syncing SNL scandal” when in reality her career did pretty well post SNL until 2008.
