This Rolls-Royce's “Hefty Bee” Boeing 747-200 (N787RR) headed to storage at the Pima Air & Space Museum after a 20-year career as a flying testbed back in 2025. On This Day in 1987: a USAF C-130 crashes in Fort Bragg (North Carolina, US). 4 of 6 aboard and 1 on the ground die. During a demonstration of a low-altitude parachute drop, the pilot pulled up too late. The airplane skidded for 1000 ft on a dirt runway, hit a vehicle, and caught fire. The maneuver demonstrated by the aircraft [Registration “68-10945”] was the LAPES - Low-Altitude Parachute-Extraction System – where aircraft deliver supplies without landing in areas that can´t be supplied by high-altitude parachute drops. This maneuver is no longer used by the US military.

DeeKay + People = DeePle For his new work titled ‘DeePle The People’, South Korean artist DeeKay turns his eye to Hong Kong, rendering the Asian metropolis in his signature style. Characterized by nostalgic video game aesthetics and joyful tenderness, the 24-second animation is a buzzing celebration of the city. He renders Hong Kong as both a specific place, and a universal locale on the world’s cultural stage. Commissioned by Art Basel Hong Kong and Hong Kong Tourism Board, ‘DeePle The People’ will be projected onto the Hong Kong Club Building from March 24, from 7:30pm to 11pm and March 25 to 29, 2026 every evening from 7pm to 11pm. According to South China Morning Post, one ground worker died at the scene, while the other was taken to hospital but could not be saved. Train pulling in at NRG station near to Philly’s excellent Lincoln Field after Curacao vs Ivory Coast. Nice for a stadium to be actually in the city it is advertised to be in. Also makes such a change to be told transport is free back to downtown after the blatant price gouging and greed in Foxboro and the tedious five hour odyssey to Santa Clara and back for the Bay Arena…well done Philly, respect 👊🏼🙏🏼 see also Toronto and Seattle ❤️
