Back in 2014, The Interview was supposed to release on Christmas, until Sony eventually cancelled the original release after receiving ongoing threats from hackers. Does anyone else remember this entire drama? It feels like a lifetime ago. I still think this film is hilarious.

Waterworld was a production nightmare & at the time of its release, it was the most expensive film ever made- coming in with a budget of approximately $175 million back in 1995. The film eventually became profitable, but rewrites, hurricanes, and set issues pushed the film’s budget to new heights. The entire production/release of this film did a number on Costner’s reputation. With all that said, I enjoy this film& think the criticism of it was overdone.

A VIEW TO A KILL premiered on this day in 1985. It was the third Bond film I saw in theaters and I remember opening weekend being an EVENT! Anyone else see it in the spring or summer of 1985?

This is the opening scene of Sergio Leone’s 1968 film "Once Upon a Time in the West". Does anyone still remember the famous line from this scene, “You brought two too many,” and what it means?

The Imitation Game feels like it came out a lifetime ago. This earned Benedict Cumberbatch an Oscar nomination for Best Actor & while I’m not as high on Cumberbatch like some people on this app, I think he’s without flaw in this film. I’m also partial to historical dramas- they interest me in particular. Good film - great performance.

I first had an interview with Smashing Magazine back in 2014 in the weeks after I returned from my trip to Colombia on behalf of TWFF, with the Amazon Conservation Team. Nearly a decade later, I was happy to chat with them again, about the release of Jude, amongst other things. View the full interview on YouTube: To revisit the first interview, click here:

🐺: I still remember the words that a somnia wrote in a letter a long time ago, "It felt like Siyeon was going back to the stage instead of going up to the stage". Those words really left an impression on me. I interpreted it as meaning that the place I was supposed to be is the stage. So, wow, I still remember it like that, and I think I felt that way again today. Thank you for saying such nice things to me. 😭💙💙

The Karate Kid’s been ripped-off, remade, and rebranded a thousand times over since its original release in 1984. I don’t have any commentary on what’s come after the original film- I’m just here to say the first film captured something real. This movie still holds up so well.

(づ๑•ᴗ•๑)づ🎂 IT SOUNDS LIKE… On this day, a year ago, music was invented with the release of iPod Touch, the first song in the world. The song was such a hit that Apple decided to release a device with the same name years after.

“I coulda been a contender” in On the Waterfront (1954) still feels like one of the rawest acting moments. Marlon Brando delivers it with this quiet heartbreak like Terry is finally realizing his entire life was stolen from him too late to change it.

Does anyone else think that this scene from The Jolly Boys Outing is one of the all-time greats? I especially love it as I used to go to Margate as a kid in the 80s. So seeing Dreamland in this scene is so nostalgic

This was my favorite gift from Santa when I was a kid in the 70s. I remember playing with it for hours on end long after Christmas. What was yours?

Today feels like a good time to remind everybody about this post I made back on August 5. If you look at Ghislaine Maxwell’s supposed testimony during that inquiry, & you compare it to the recent email release… well…. It aged like fine wine - I hate it here. #Epstein #EpsteinFiles #ReleaseTheFiles
