I still have JPGs I took with that very camera! 640x480, July 7, 1999, it was so fun not having to worry about developing film! Tech back then just felt so special.

😊✨

I thought this was Resident Evil 2’s Umbrella’s underground lab 🫣😱🤣

I still own two of these... and they still work! Who needs resolution and dynamic range? You have just enough resolution to tell that it's me, and those are trees.

Use it to take a picture of teacher in the bathroom.

You had to be alive then to know how it felt, to see for the first time instant digital pictures captured on screen as you were taking them. Sounds, shutter pressure and vibrations of the Mavicas were so satisfying, and the shots had an ethereal style to them if you knew

dad thought he was so cool having this and like a pile of 30 floppies on the family trip to hawaii when he couldve just brought a real camera or a disposable. 😑

These came out pretty much the same year a finished a traditional photography course. Spent months in darkrooms, learning how to develop film and print. And now all my study is redundant 😂🤷♂️🙈

I had that camera, it took the grainiest pictures lol

You took pictures like they were expensive.

Everything was better back then, even the demographics of the commercial.

The blond guy is a venezuelan actor.

“I know that $2000 is a lot for a camera, honey, but it’s the same price as hiring a photographer. And with this, our wedding photos will be digital! Will be able to share them with their friends and families using 3.5 in. floppy discs!”

It’s crazy that Sony commercials were filmed in Venezuela! From Venezuela to USA and the World!

We had one of these for the office I worked at, and I wanted my own so bad! I couldn't imagine anything cooler than popping a floppy into your camera and saving your photos straight to it 🤣

My first digital camera. The 90's were cool.

Someone taking pictures in the toilet would be arrested today (as they should). That ‘kid’ would now have a major lawsuit on their hands and a record.

Cuando en Venezuela hacíamos comerciales de los que llaman world wide o sea para todos los mercados.

What a weird ass commercial. Everything about it. The old "kids," the color filter/lighting, the subject matter, the angry teacher. Its like some fever dream.

And yet that process is still simpler than today

Ahh the good ol times when it was fun to bully bald guys

The things I would do to go back...

Yes these were it in the 90s

I had one of those.

@Fan_Technologii coś dla Ciebie ☺️

1.44 mb was an upgrade back then when games were text based

Now our computers are practically the size of the floppy disk and take pictures

0.3 megapixels, and still had a better image sensor than a 48 megapixel phone camera today...

3.5 Mb disk, how many photos could be taken back then?

Oh that camera was so awesome back in the days

I had an MVC-FD90. It was pretty good in its day.
