@GPAIndiana @IndianaGPA Ever notice how much Mother Jefferson looks like Maxine Waters?

@GPAIndiana I miss when humor was used to bring people together and work through our problems rather than all of this hate.

@GPAIndiana I’m always watching old re-runs on YouTube of The Jefferson’s and All in the Family, Cheers, Sanford & Son, anything old. I refuse to assimilate into todays world of so called “Progress”. We had it so much better back in those days. Here’s to yesterday! 🥂

@GPAIndiana @h2oswmn We had a short window of brotherly love. Before political hate used race as a tool to divide us. The flood gates opened - the results can be seen in everyday videos and even on the floor of Congress. Not a pretty sight is it.

@GPAIndiana I'm not crazy about being this old, but I'm incredibly grateful for growing up with "All in the Family" & "The Jeffersons" two of the top 5 sitcoms that have been or will ever be made.

Remember those days well. I loved watching all the great comics work their magic. Especially the Dean Martin Roasts. Those were the best. Don Rickles, Sammy Davis Jr., Nipsey Russel, Jackie Mason all used to poke fun at each other. Most of the comedy was aimed at color. And nobody got offended. They laughed. They were friends. Those were the good old days. Never to be repeated because of the filth that sat his ass in the WH from ‘08 to ‘16. Set race relations back big time. But of course that was his intention all along. A man who hides his own sexuality, that never, legally, should have been President.

Agreed. I look back and watch those old shows just to realize… that was a time when the world was healing old wounds. Laughter is the best remedy and pointing out the obvious didn’t hurt feelings, it brought people together. In 2008 this all changed and we went backwards imo.

I agree—this was comedy gold. I grew up with all of these shows, and they taught me how to laugh at ourselves without getting offended. Unfortunately, in today’s world, if *The Jeffersons* or *All in the Family* were still on the air, some people would probably try to boycott the shows and even go after the actors.

@GPAIndiana Reruns of this show, all of them, should be on TV. Today's generation needs to be shocked back to reality.

@GPAIndiana Absolutely. I can't believe Lionel says his children will hopefully be "boys and girls". It is amazing that they allowed this kind of outrageous concept on TV.
