Crazy how there's people who didn't understand this ending and thought Captain Clark got her and "turned" her into a still life as if it were a virus. I mean the movie literally shows you the Backrooms replicate places and people from the real world but "slightly wrong".

Bro was trying to bring the stool to prove he wasn't insane is exactly what an insane person would do. 😭

Kane Parsons is 21 years old.

i did love that scene when the camera is going down and down each time the memory of a room degrates more and more until it is the standard yellow backrooms. then it keeps going until a doorway appears. gives me caretaker vibes. which i do not recommend looking up if you don't.

DUDE IM NOT GOING CRAZY

Man the more and more I learn about this movie, and Kane's backrooms in general, it really would be a wild coincidence that it's this similar to AI if that actually isn't the intention.

This was the first film in a long time that I wanted to rewatch the second it finished. There’s so much to think about. So many layers (literally). So many ideas at work. Ingenious stuff. Thought provoking. Mind bending

So good..... So layered

Give it 2 to 5 years and the love and admiration for this movie will triple

Remember! Clark came home drunk and had the final argument of his life with his wife, so I think he killed her that very night—which is why the scan is even blurrier than the others. He killed his wife in the real world and scalped her duplicate in the Backrooms.

the handprint scene parallel broke me. Normal world vs yellow hell in one clip. Whoever edited this deserves their own A24 credit

The real monster in the Backrooms was never the entity. It was the feeling of being completely disconnected from reality.

The parallel scenes hit hard Backrooms nailing the “almost right but completely wrong” vibe every time.

So last scene means that they sent her back again

The Backrooms only replicate the memories of those who enter—unless an infected person dies, in which case the memory scan is transferred to their family. kat/booby: missing persons notices = memories of their loved ones Mary's mother: memories of the house = memories of Mary

THAT’S CRAZY WORK OMG

Bullshit movie ngl…

People said she was acting dude when she got the opportunity to escape😅

Seeing the rooms that looked off compared to the irl scenes put this disgusted look on my face Like the backrooms really is AI but if it were a place, no object permanence, no meaning or understanding of what it's copying "And the more it remembers, the less it does..."

Backrooms is like organic ai

i just noticed how similar those two are (IM NOT SAYING THAT THIS LEVEL EXISTS IN KANE PARSON'S BACKROOMS)

"Honestly, Kane Parsons just proved why he is the king of liminal space horror. Incredible cinematography!"

This parallel edit of the ending is genius The way the Backrooms 'misremembers' reality hits different seeing normal life vs the yellow hell side-by-side. Kane Parsons cooked with this one – that handprint scene broke me. Best horror of 2026?

So every things is Backrooms

The uncanny valley of the Backrooms hits harder when you realize it is just a hollow mimicry of our own memories. It feels like the setting is trying to understand human existence without having a soul of its own.

I wonder how many people are reading comments right now while pretending to watch a movie with someone else.

what a brilliant movie. I don’t think people appreciate how smart of a film this is

That house number '628' is definitely an easter egg. Kane Parsons never does anything by accident!"

so the ending with parallel scenes sounds really interesting what does that even mean for the story? is it going to show some of these alternate endings we've seen throughout the series or will it be something entirely different

as cool as this ending was it did feel a little TOO recognisable, you dont usually see many rooms this detailed in the backrooms, I dont really like the whole rubble being copied something about that just felt off

this movie is so fucking good omg

The backrooms seem to mimic or replicate the memories of those who have entered it (and replicate them as well) on top of the endless office space 'base template'. However... If Mary left, how is the interrogation room replicated as a memory, if it happened after she exited?

its like the backrooms is remembering the movie with me

Love that this was put together. Easy for people to miss these details.

What happened with girl in first clip?
