@VivaLaStool Don’t worry about the dead spots Dante. More are coming all of August. Overseed it with GCI weed free turf seed 3rd week of September. Cover it with Peet Moss. You are in Zone 5b-6a there. It will germinate all of September and October looking incredible. Spring you will be 😀

@VivaLaStool Thank you

@VivaLaStool It’s called Topdressing. Started in golf and other manicured lawns but is now popular with home lawn people. Spreading a thin layer (1/4-1/2”) of compost + sand on top. Helps fill the gaps in new sod and also gives more soil for the grass to grow in. Some people do this annually

@VivaLaStool 🙏

@VivaLaStool Was it just too much sun? Try and some sand and maybe get some interns to hold an umbrella a few hours a day to block the sun rays.

@VivaLaStool put one of these over the dead spot on hot days and it could help

@VivaLaStool I wouldnt add any dirt or sand in the summer, it will just lead to more stress in the area. Just keep watering for the rest of the summer and overseed any dead areas in the fall

@VivaLaStool Complete non expert opinion but I've heard about and seen the sand idea work well.

@VivaLaStool top dressing will be good for them. dont do it in extreme heat. find a cooler temp stretch. double your h2o output for 2 days after.

@VivaLaStool I hope you’re not watering with municipal water Dante. The chemicals the gov adds to make the frogs gay also kill grass

@VivaLaStool Legendary Pete

@VivaLaStool Sod should be fine. In Florida a lot of our sod turns brown in the summer after it’s laid, but comes back as long as it keeps being maintained. Some comments on this post talk about top sanding should also be a help. Full drenching yesterday won’t hurt anything.

@VivaLaStool Nice job. Next time, have a mixture of manure and soil. Works best for sod.

@VivaLaStool Have to top dress it with some very light sand

@VivaLaStool Def not dead wait to cut until you can’t pull up

@VivaLaStool Looks great man

@VivaLaStool No knock here Dante but what is it that Dave pays you to do at Barstool?

@VivaLaStool Did u haveeeee to say moissstttt!?! Ugh. lol

@VivaLaStool Where’s the glory hole

@VivaLaStool Just in time for the first snowstorm in 3 weeks.

@VivaLaStool Should of done high end turf Dante

@VivaLaStool Top dressing , like golf courses do it Looking good brother

@VivaLaStool Watch out for fungal issues. Brown patch etc

@VivaLaStool Sand works great for leveling and it helps with the water drainage

@VivaLaStool More sod! Good job!

@VivaLaStool What’s your plan for irrigation once it takes? Can’t be running sprinklers with hoses every day right

@VivaLaStool Maybe @TheLawnTools can chime in

@VivaLaStool Overseed it

@VivaLaStool Update on total number of home-made shanks found mixed in with the dirt?

@VivaLaStool A light layer of sand (top dressing) will level it out as well as hold the moisture in better. Same thing golf courses do.

@VivaLaStool Will it be done before end of summer?

@VivaLaStool Need more water

@VivaLaStool Of course that shit died. Everyone told you and you threw a bitch fit and attacked ppl in the comments lmao

@VivaLaStool Looks great.

@VivaLaStool Lot of golf guys in the office. one needs to get a superintendent from a nearby course to come by and give you a plan. Get that thing looking like a putting green playboy. Sand is a good start.

@VivaLaStool Sand it

@VivaLaStool Katic is way too heavy for grass 😂
