**Bad language warning…** The current scenes in Hamilton town centre where supporters of Nigel Farage and people who’ve turned out to protest the Reform UK leader’s visit are shouting at each other in the street. LBC News

*Another bad language warning* Heated discussions between the rival groups in the street unfortunately descending into personal insults and threats. Speaker on the megaphone urging calm and no violence….

We had hoped to hear from Nigel Farage at a media event planned by Reform for 2pmish but it didn’t go ahead. Some suggestion this may have been due to protesters turning up in Aberdeen earlier which Mr Farage blamed on reporters tipping them off about his location.

I have tried to get in touch with a Reform press contact who was meant to be on the ground but haven’t heard back.
